Schwarzer to Fulham (?)

http://www.foxsports.com.au/story/0,8659,23740157-23215,00.html

AUSTRALIA goalkeeper Mark Schwarzer is understood to be on the verge of signing for Barclays Premier League side Fulham.

The Middlesbrough keeper who has been at the club for eleven years is understood by Fox Sports to be set to announce his switch to the London side later today.

The news follows months of protracted contract negotiations between Schwarzer and Middlesbrough, which seem to have broken down in recent weeks.

More to follow.

Fulham? oh geez, silly decision from Schwarz.

Sure Boro aren't world class either, but they are better then Fulham, and i do believe Boro will buy some handy players this transfer market, aswell as having Alves for a full pre-season.

I'm not sure Juve was for real...he'd be behind Buffon. Same with Fiorentina - be behind Frey. No doubt.

Bayern? He was linked with Bayern a while ago but they've groomed Michael Rensing to take over from Khan however rumour has it Klinsman is keen on Robert Enke from Hannover, so I dont think Schwarzer was ever going to Bayern.

He was also linked with Celtic as their keeper whose name escapes me is strongly linked with AC Milan.

Schwarzer - Fulham CONFIRMED

http://www.foxsports.com.au/story/0,8659,23740157-23215,00.html

AUSTRALIA goalkeeper Mark Schwarzer has transferred from Middlesbrough to Barclays Premier League rivals Fulham.
The move ends months of speculation about the future of the 35-year-old, who was due to become a free agent next month after 11 years and 367 games at Boro.
"I have signed with Fulham for two years," Schwarzer said after joining his Socceroos teammates in Sydney ahead of the international friendly with Ghana at the Sydney Football Stadium.
"I don't really want to speak about this at this moment in time. I'd like to speak about the game and concentrate on the game for us. After the game on Friday night ... we can talk more about my future, no problems."
The veteran was originally due to arrive from England last Monday, but his trip was delayed so he could continue contract negotiations.
Schwarzer is relieved to have sorted out his future before Australia's World Cup qualifiers next month.
He said, in an "ideal situation", he would have loved the deal to have been organised sooner so he could have been in camp with the Socceroos all week.
"Unfortunately these things don't always happen that way and I felt that it was important to ... not affect any preparations for the qualifiers, obviously,'' he said, adding that he was confident he would be ready to play against Ghana.
"Obviously it's a long trip ... but I feel fine. I trained this morning. I'm almost 100 per cent."
Fulham narrowly escaped relegation with a last-day win away at Portsmouth, while Middlesbrough finished four places higher in 13th.

better move than moving to those bigger clubs to play 2nd fiddle.
Fulham are chasing a few players and will boast there playing roster!
Would you rather:
a. Move to a big club and not play
b. Stay at boro
c. Move onto a new club and set a new goal and be part of a club trying to improve? most likely with better coin too
