I cannot tell you how enjoyable it was seeing one of your favourite sons getting belted on Saturday. Do wish it could have been Prior himself, but Young will do.

You took pleasure in seeing a decent human being get knocked out during a rugby league game? A bloke who's copped a lot of adversity through injury over the length of his career and has still managed to pull through?

And for the record I think the Prior hit on Thurston earlier in the year was a dog act. I didn't take pleasure in that incident and I certainly don't take any pleasure in this one either.

I don't see how anyone can smile at a guy being carried off in a medivac.

Then Merrin starts shoving him in the back of the head while his team mate lay there injured on his lap.*

Never rated Merrin as a player and he has just shown that as a person he isn't much better. Everything after that point was a really bad look, both teams are to blame. Taking a knee as a sign of respect would be a good incentive for the players, and it would rub out the thug tag that's been placed on our players and our sport.

Not to mention the late hit by Burgess on Morris after he had scored or Crocker kicking out at Merrin early in the first half.
