Think you need to watch it again when i first saw it i thought it was a dog act watching it again today looked like he went to stop the fight then when he got his arms around price he was already on his way down, and you know what happens when you put all your weight onto someone that is out of it don you?

He also didn't throw one single punch when he was on top of price i think he was the first to realize price was out of it..

No way mate, Waterhouse had already broken up a couple of scuffles earlier in the match, and from what I have seen he doens't get involved in that kind of sh*t.

Such an overraction here, the guy ran in to grab Price and break up the fight, Price falls as he gets there and people think he has 'crash tackled' him to the ground and twisted his neck, give me a break...

He tackled Price up around the neck. For one, that is NOT how to try stop a fight. And all of Waterhouse's bodyweight ends up around Price's head when he is on the ground, which would not of helped and I am sure contributed to the injury Price received.

I expect to see Waterhouse suspended for one game, and rightly so.

Waterhouse cleared by judiciary

Penrith backrower Trent Waterhouse has escaped a suspension on a contrary conduct charge from the fiery State of Origin finale.
Waterhouse was charged after he became the first NSW player to be sent off in an Origin following an incident with Queensland veteran Steve Price in the Blues' 28-16 win at Suncorp Stadium.
Facing a one game ban, Waterhouse successfully pleaded his case to the NRL judiciary who found him not guilty of the charge and cleared him to play in the Panthers' game against Canberra on Saturday.
Waterhouse claimed he had merely been trying to break up a fight between Price and Blues prop Brett White when he tackled the Warriors skipper.
A punch from White had knocked out Price an instant before Waterhouse's contact, making the incident look worse than it was.
"You could see on the tape that there was never any malice and I intended to break it up but I think they might have thought I knocked him out," Waterhouse said after the hearing on Thursday.
"You can see on the tape that it clearly wasn't me, it was a punch. Very happy and looking forward to the game on Saturday."
Waterhouse claimed he had been surprised to receive his marching orders and said the fiery clashes between the teams at the end of the match were just part of Origin football.
"I think they thought that I'd headslammed him, I think the referee might have thought that and that's why I got sent off," he said.
"I was quite shocked to get sent to tell you the truth. That's Origin mate, it's tough and it's rough and the crowd love it."
Waterhouse's verdict means no player was suspended from Wednesday's match with North Queensland's Johnathan Thurston taking an early plea on his dangerous contact charge to avoid any penalty.

i have to be honest with this, and i havent seen it questioned anywhere, but to me it looks as if Steven Price is knocked out cold when his head hits the ground after the Waterhouse tackle, not from the punch that Brett White threw.

I argued this on another thread, and you (and the rest of the world) may be right, but the last frame by frame i watched, shows that Price actually lands a right hand just after he is hit on the chin by White. Also, watch how his legs straighten and lose control (as happens often with a KO) right at the point that his head hits the ground after the waterhouse tackle. The closer i look at this, the more confident i am of it.

Incidentally, i am not arguing that Waterhouse should be suspended or anything like that. But you would think that at the time, given that he was sent off, that the officials would have thought that it was this that did all of the damage. Otherwise, he would have been seen as simply breaking up a fight.
