They will be at the same time as Luke Covell will be on his end of season trip to Fiji.

Tri Nations Schedule
Friday, 27th May 2005
The Australian Rugby League Board has voted to take a Rugby League Tri Nations match to Telstra Stadium for the first time.

The Board today confirmed that the Test between the Kangaroos and the Kiwis on the weekend of October 15/16 will be played in Sydney.

The ARL considered a number of venues for the match which will be the first in the 2005 Tri Series between Australia, Great Britain and New Zealand.

"The interest in the Tri Series last year was incredible and Telstra Stadium provides fans with the chance to experience the intense competition that is building at international level," ARL Chief Executive, Mr Geoff Carr, said today.

"It will be the first time we have played a Test in Sydney since 2003 and the first at Telstra since 2000.

"This will be a real opportunity for fans to send the Kangaroos off to the UK in style."

The dates for the Tri-Nations currently stand as:

15/16 October - Aust v NZ (Telstra Stadium, Sydney)

21/22 October - Aust v NZ (New Zealand)

29 October - GB v NZ (England)

5 November - GB v Aust (England)

12 November - GB v NZ (England)

19 November - GB v Aust (England)

26 November - Final (England)

It's ridiculous that we have to play the final over in England. I know that they are trying to reduce the gulf between Australia and the rest of the rugby league playing world to promote the international game, but they had it last time around and it should be shared around.

It would make more sense to give whoever finishes on top of the standings after the qualifying rounds the home ground advantage.

Just ignore him O'Meley, not all us Sharks' fans think that the sun shines out of Covell's behind. Personally, I agree with you. Merritt should have been given a run weeks ago. Covell played OK against the Roosters and Broncos, but his defensive lapses showed against both North Queensland and Wests-Tigers. He is too slow for a winger and his positional play is poor.

JEEEZ get over Covell all you Cronulla fans, there are far better wingers than he is.

There are about 3 covell fans, I doubt they are even sharks supporters, brace yourself though, they should be back from ballet lessons any minute now.

Sing, Williams, Hodges, Rooney, King, Lewis, El Masri, Grothe, Mad Pup, Slater, Minichello, even the likes of Tahu and Richards are better than Covell

Covell who?

covell will be on the tour
trust me on that

Only as the water boy or better still as a practise tackling bag for the players. The players recieve extra benefits if they take Covell's head off in one shot.

One of the reasons it's in Britain is because they are prepared to promote international football. Australia didn't want it to begin with, that's why it won't be played here until the end of next year. The ARL and NRL still haven't woken up to the fact that union and other sports get big crowds to internationals because they actually spend money promoting them. A 1/4 page ad in the Daily Tele is just not enough. Even State of Origin would do poorly crowd wise if it wasn't hyped so heavily. It's not rocket science. Australia didn't even want to host the 2008 Rugby League World Cup until union proved to them that people will watch football in summer; a notion the idiots had been hiding behind for years.
