Thanks to the time keeper.

Its news to me and a little duplicated, but no problems from Australia with GB posting by proxy. Looks like 7 posts to me. :D
Well played GB Lions. :thumn

Seems we fell one post short. Great stuff from the Kangaroos who posted, you did the nation proud with some excellent posts.:thumb

Cheers.

Thanks for applying the spirit of the law rather than the letter Willow.

Obviously not a copper!
The spirit of the F7s actually.

It will take a mighty effort for a 6 man australian team to beat those 7 GB articles, it would have been close 7on7, no hope with 6on7 :(

Thanks for the display of sportsmanship, Willow, it's much appreciated.

Best of luck to both sides. I'm going to enjoy sitting back and reading all of these. Pity about falling one post short, as I think it would have been a real cracker if it was 7 on 7.

Yeah thanks for understanding Willow,

Sportsmanship is the most important thing, the result comes after that.

lol. No worries Mort. The first place I looked was in the GB team thread and saw your post there. Looks like you had a team full of helpers lining up to put it in for you. When things are getting tight, that's the sort of stuff that wins matches.

Sorry about the slow marking. Had a very busy week and it totally slipped my mind. I'll have it done for you by tonight.

Willow – George Bishop
An interesting historical look at a player who completed an unlikely trifecta for Australia.
Score: 86

eloquentEEL – The footy gods must be…
An attempt at humour that got bogged down in its own complexity, for mine. Ultimately, it just got too confusing.
Score: 78

Raider69 – My Religion
Clear, concise, sacrilegious and quite amusing.
Score: 85

Azkatro – Missing
Clearly, you’ve gone insane. I still quite enjoyed this piece, though, as surreal as it was.
Score: 86

Dilmah – No, you are
A fairly solid piece on the changing state of rugby league and manhood in general. One issue, though: it’s spelt ‘choreographed’.
Score: 85

I Bleed Green – When is enough, enough?
A solid if unspectacular look at the early return to training for many clubs.
Score: 83

Total: 503

MrCharisma – Coach Lets Down
A critical approach to the Great Britain selection policy.
Score: 85

Bartman – Win some, lose some
A cute little story that took a very different and original approach to the usual football theme. I loved it.
Score: 91

Rammo – Every dog has its day
An entertaining report about one of the most memorable comebacks in recent history.
Score: 86

Mzilikazi – Of cynics and apologists
A bit heavy for my poor, study-weary brain, but it was well written and voiced a very strong opinion.
Score: 86

Chriswalkerbush – 2008-I can’t wait
A future recap of the 2008 World Cup, concluded in style with an inevitable tequila shot.
Score: 87

Big Mick – Who is really #1?
An optimistic approach to the international scene, although you might have jumped the gun a little… ;-)
Score: 83

Morticia – One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest
Very enjoyable and bizarre (and perhaps politically incorrect) story linking support of AFL to psychologically unstable people.
Score: 90

Total: 608

GREAT BRITAIN 608 defeated AUSTRALIA 503

Thanks ref for marking and well played GB on winning the Brian Bevan Cup.
We'll get it back next year. :)
Congrats to bartman for picking up the Player Of The Match award.
