Starts (tomorrow) Monday morning 3am

Id be more confident playing SA in the final, WI can be unpredictably good (or bad)

Starc needs 2 more wickets here to be the fastest to 100 ODI wickets

Wonder who will get the final bowling spot between Boland and Zampa?

I'm a better bowler than Boland. Seriously. Hopefully it's Zampa.

Imma IQ this and watch it tomorrow afternoon, but the Windies will be hard to beat I reckon

Somehow Aus got to 270 after being 6 for 170 with about 14 to go.

Considering it's a final it should be defendable.

Haze gets fletcher, would have preferred he stay in as was scoring slow. Charles is the one we want very soon

The conclusion of this tournament leads me to say the following:

BRING BACK THE TRI-SERIES FORMAT!

Sick and tired of all these bilateral 5-7 ODI series Australia has been playing against India in recent times. The 3rd team adds something to the tournament, and gives the tournament more meaning (with only two teams going through the final). Even the previous tri-series Australia was involved with (vs Zimbabwe and South Africa) was also interesting.

And nice to see the pitches provide some assistance for the bowlers in this tournament in the West Indies. Had enough of the plethora of 300+ inning scores that have been scooped up in recent years.

Unfortunately the tri series here wont be returning any time soon (if at all) with single opponent series till at least 2019/2020.

Frustrates the crap out of me that we will have to wait until that long to see it back on Australian soil.

Even though I know T20 cricket has overtaken the ODI format in popularity in Australia especially over the past few years with the BBL, the ODI tri-series (known as Benson & Hedges World Series Cup when I first started watching cricket) will always remain one of the things I miss from my childhood. In 2014/15 there was a shortened tri-series just before the World Cup, but the last full-length tri-series in 2011/12 had several close matches.

CA caved in to scrapping the tri-series format after 2008 because Ch9 kicked up a stink over not wanting to televise the matches between the touring nations during the 2007/08 summer, suddenly citing 'poor ratings' (Fox Sports having to step in at the last minute to televise the India vs Sri Lanka match in Canberra was the final straw).

no one was going to the neutral games which I thought was why we ditched the 3 tri series
