I don’t understand two things.

1. Why do we give anything form related from a trial, a moments thought when we all know that flanno has his round 1 team picked?

2. Why is Quigs a Kent?

Interestingly you have written off a few star signings from 30 or 40 minutes of a 1st up trial game.

To be fair, I am biased against Moylan. Panthers fans say he's a better 5/8th than a fullback. He plays what, nearly half the season at 5/8th last year and the black cats only start winning when he misses games due to injury?

The bloke as Frenzy has pointed out is a Myth. Been in the game how long now? Done what? If Gus wasn't blowing hot air up his arse every chance he got, no one would know who he is and he'd be lucky to still be playing the game.

I'd be happy if a different team and environment turns him into a world beater and I'm open to giving him time to make it happen. I just don't see it happening.

I didn't see me writing off any other "star signings", so I'm not sure where the "few" came from?

You know who looked pretty solid

Hodgkinson or whatever his name is
Agree.....has been playing busted for the last 2-3 years.....if Andrew Gray can work his miracles with him he may well be the surprise packet of the season. Will be motivated only being on a one year deal. Good insurance given the unpredictability of Moylan both on and off the field.

Sure Moylan needs to show he’s worth the hype but I wouldn’t judge him or any player on a trial.

You said Ava didn’t impress you. I’d Class him as a high profile signing.

I thought he started a bit slow but he finished very strong. Looks strong and a solid player to me.

Moylan looked rushed at 5/8 with defence in his face, he went to full back for 5 minutes and looked more dangerous then Holmes.
Moylan should be fullback, with Flanno jnr/ CT halves, Hodkinson on bench to cover halves and hooker

Moylan was bought to play fullback. Pearce ruined our grand plan. We really need ball playing at fullback. Come home Benny.

I'm not sure how someone not impressing me is "writing them off"? However for the record, no, I don't think he would be considered a high profile signing. Doubt he brushed the back page when it happened.

Considering how well some of the kids who have never played firsts went, he looked ordinary for someone who's played 100+ NRL matches.

Even Uele has only played one match and looked much more involved.

I think he'll go alright with a bit more match fitness and likely going up against tired defenders, however he didn't impress me.

Few people have said this, not sure how that conclusion is made?
Moves to fullback with just under 5 mins to go.
First touch is at first receiver - put up a bomb - 3:55 to go
Second touch, chimed in the line - passed to Noodles - 1:36 to go.
No other touches.
0 tackles
0 bombs defused
5 run meters
1 kick

Not so sure about that. If it was the grand plan wouldn't we have kept Maloney considering both he and Moylan were on our books at one stage? I think the Pearce thing was an opportunistic moment which would have been good but didn't pan out. Obviously I no idea either way, just crystal balling and reading the tea leaves.

Moylan early touches at 5/8 we're too flat hence rushed. He needs ball when on the front foot.

Agree that his output in career to date has not matched hype.

I reckon he will go well given dominance from the pack and once he works out combos with CT and Graham. He is much better running the sweep play than Holmes right now.

Season 2018 will prove that Matt Moyan is a gun and I am certain he will become a future legend of the Club. It is awesome to have him here and I know boys love him.

2. Why is Quigs a Kent?
Well it started a very long time, in some shyte place in QLD, like Queensland with Emus, very, very far from the Shire, he once saw Frenzy's hair, thought he was Julius Sunder Miller, then caught a Qantas plane to Nigeria, were he met the Coifed one.

He decided at that point, he loved all things right, no left for him, Jimbo, Millersnose and Surely took him on board, he then decided there was nothing better than cats, gave the up era of the biff, joined the Trump party, bought a gun, Glock 4mil, shot a dog, who was from Manly.

This resulted in many hair transplants, to the point Quigs ended up with a vagina on his head.

Hence Quigs is a Kent.
