Don't get caught up in the term 'prop'. He will be part of the middle forward rotation, which he did last year as well but he played the first 20 minutes on the edge

Am I mistaken about something. Isn't the edge forward running at halves? Am I mistaken in thinking they actually seek the halves out to run at?
My hatred of the position is actually based on two counts. Firstly, as I said it is a position based on cowardly/bully type principles and secondly their existence as decoy runners fugglies up what use to be a beautiful sight in the game - namely the backline shift.
It would be a step forward for the code if we found a way to get rid of the concept of the edge forward.

They certainly played a cat position (though in their day it was less ugly).
In fact, I have visions of Kennedy in mind when I think of the cowardly nature of the position. In particular reoccurring nightmares of the 2001 grand final first half when cat edge forwards isolated Jason Taylor all of the first half and stole our cake (I realise it was mainly Bill Peden doing the damage).
I am not saying that wasn't smart RL I am saying RL is lesser for the fact that can occur. Skilful small dudes have been bashed out of the game by this position group.

Hmm I guess I never thought of it but you certainly do simplify it. You are also assuming that Peni has fallen out of favour as when fit he was somewhat of a favourite of BA I thought but perhaps he has shifted out of the 17.

How do you reckon Taka will go?

Halves are also cats for running at bigger, slower, tiring forwards, taking advantage of their more mobile and quicker skills - they should just run at the opposition halves!! f**ken cat halves !!
