The common denominator here is the replacement of Hunt at the Dragons. I would prefer Tristan Sailor to Sullivan. Sailor can cover more positions more effectively than Bud in my opinion. Both will be held onto by their respective clubs and Hunt will be with us to the end of 2025 is what will happen though.

Isnt Sailor on a T& T contract ?
Not sure if they are "water tight"
I wouldnt be throwing too much money at Sloan for the future
Still very much a rocks n diamonds player
Sailor has matured much better and quicker
Defence always his achillies , but a lot to like how he is progressing
Versatile and can handle all backline positions inc 1
well worth considering

I thought we might have went after Sailor late last year when he tried to go to super league.. hes a quality fullback and years in front of anyone in our system.. but I think that ship may have sailed given we waited until he was killing it for the Broncs to show interest.

btw.. I don't believe he has any ill-feelings toward us, his dad tells stories where he is on the couch watching league shows and bagging saints.. but Tristan never engages, just goes to his room.

Isn’t T Sailor off to the Super League?

He wanted to go to the Leigh Leopards but the Broncos refused any immediate release. He signed an extension at the Broncos from 2024 to 2025 going from being on a Development contract to being part of their 30 man squad.

Plenty got excited about Sailor last year when he had 1 good game. I don't think he followed up with another good game. Bit small and no specialist position.

At last check the chat was whether Sailor should start in front of Walsh! Slightly tongue in cheeck.. but he is taking his limited opportunities bigtime.

For me it comes back to Sloan, he has maybe a month to show enough to hold his jersey... but if he really struggles, Flanno may have to find 'someone'.
