Sorry to disappoint you , but I think you are referring to Nathan Hindmarsh playing against Adelaide at Hindmarsh Stadium . The match was ,in fact played at Pioneer Oval Parkes.

I'm sorry to disappoint you, but I never said he made his debut there and that's why I phrased my statement the way I did. I stated he made his debut against a club whose HOME GROUND AT THE TIME shared his surname which is true. I made no reference to where the match was played. I'm well aware of the fact the match was played at Parkes. Read properly before you type a response.

BTW , this was the game where Brett Atkins was tackled heavily , and got up and played the ball in the complete opposite direction , ie back towards the Balmain marker.
It was also the game where someone forgot to pack the playing jumpers and Parra had to play in unsponsored ones.

Here's my favorite piece of Parra trivia - When the Eels won their first premiership against Newtown in 1981, the crowd at the SCG that day was 57333. Type that number into a calculator, turn it upside down and what does it spell?

Yeah, EEELS!

Possibly the greatest piece of sporting trivia of all time and yet when I mention to anyone other than another Parra fan they look at me like I'm an idiot.

I'd probably look at you like an idiot too if you mentioned it in spoken conversation rather than typing it ;-)

Really, it's one one those things that needs to be explained in writing.

Sorry , my bad eyesight , always got me into trouble when I misread Uni exam questions. Anyway , it is Hindy and Adelaide played out of Hindmarsh Stadium.

Yeah, Mark Bugden. Great game that. I won a Parra jersey on it.
