trouble in the jungle

Didnt hear it but heard fox sport news ran story about a group of players very unhappy in tiger town. Thought Sheens was a good coach,but very unhappy in the retrenchment and recruitmen department.

With a bit of luck someone might spill beans on what really is going on inside the camp. Most clubs Sheens has anything to do with end in termoil. Isnt it amazing if you said one negative word about Sheens six months ago you were screamed down by the mob. Now everywhere you turn their is another negative story about the kola bear.

The place was in a real mess when he came to town, maybe he intends to leave the place the same way he founded it when he leaves

It was noticeable that plenty of the first grade squad were in attendance for last Saturday`s Premier League game at Leichardt Oval, but none of them appeared very happy ??? Only 3 blokes, Bronson Harrison, Chris Lawrence and Ben Te`o even spent much time talking to each other. Might be nothing to it, but doesn`t appear to be a good team atmosphere and the on field effort towards the end of this season showed it !!!

Coach, people's heads are starting to emerge from deep beneath the sand.

Me and You were bagged on several occasions this season however we attended enough games to know the rubbish being dished up from our mob most weeks would eventually run the side off ther rails. The Signs were there as early as the Parramatta and Newcastle games in the middle of the year that we were out of steam.

The Time for change was then. Some needed to be dropped and we needed to take a chance at number 7. Sadly and predictably, Sheens shuffled all his chairs including such moves as

* Farah to halfback
* Lawrence to Lock
* Benji to defend on the Wing
* Fitzy and Galea co Captains
* Small Benches every week

We could see it coming. Many tried to paper over the cracks. As painful as our last month was, the positive is that perhaps Tigers football Staff might wake up and relaise without significent review and change, 2008 will be even bleaker.

Lawrence at lock was a good move mate it got the kid more involved when he went too the wing and centre he did nothing

also with Farah at half what was our record???

a lot of people seem too forget that we only just missed the finals and a top 4 spot by like 5 points

the only reason why im not happy at sheens is the fact when benji got injured he should of been replaced with a pl half

Watch for a very convenient house move, family death, divorce, school carnival etc to clash with the Balmain and Wests info days this year. Rather than being presented Shines, NOyce and Ronald who will be grilled to high heaven they'll send us David Boyle, Dave Kelly and Patty Perkins and ensure any pressing questions won't be able to be asked or answered. Watch them ask for questions to be submitted in writing for approval like at many AGMs.

I know for certain that this year Shines and Ronald won't be getting off as easily as they did last year with the utter garbage and spin they put forward

Just on this ''trouble in the jungle'' stuff, this is the post where this all originated from.

just seen Fox Sports News with Russell Fairfax talking about Benny leaving and a group of players disenchanted at the Tiges about the players they have let go said something like Sheens is a great coach but whoever signs the players hasn't got a clue should be back on again shortly.
Heres a subsequent view after a second look.

After seeing it again it seems like Russell is getting his information from a few disenchanted supporters on this forum.pretty much dribbled on for a couple of minutes trying to kill time and then closed in saying he will be watching closely the going ons in the club over the next few weeks didn't sound like much substance. I lost interest when he said Benji could be gone if his shoulder doesn't hold up

Ok i usually post on the official forum, but always troll through here for some good entertainment, with many colourful characters such as manonthehill (even though your posts are always negative, they make me laugh)

Basically this situation stems from the club's inability to offer Whatuira a new contract. As most of you probably know, the kiwi players in the side are very close to eachother. So when the club didnt offer him a contract because of salary cap restrictions (which i couldn't believe myself), many of the kiwi's in the side actually offered to take a paycut in the hope of Whatuira staying with the club.

Now that he is gone, some of the players are not happy.

Where the f**k do you people come from, and really what the f**k footy are you watching, sure we were ordinary this year, sure we blew a chance to get in the 8 but so did 8 other clubs. As for the above comments, they are laughable, here is Sheens record at ALL clubs;

Penrith - did sweet FA for TWENTY years then Sheens got them on the righ track, taking them to first ever finals appearance and they got in a GF 2 years after he left. Hardly left it in turmoil (yea with an 'e' dikchead).

Canberra were a club who was only 5 years old and hadnt been competitive with players such as Meninga, Belcher, Walters, ferguson, when he left there they had played in 8/9 finals series, won 3 gf's, lost 1 and bought along players such as Daley, Jackson, Lazarus, Stuart and Clyde. They made the finals the year after he left before being f**ked up by Super League. Once again hardly left in turmoil.

Cowboys were 2 years old and then they went to fuggin Super League where they had no players whatsoever, they had 9 captains in 3 seasons of footy, the Broncos had any player that was any good up there. They finished spooners before he got there, spooners the first year of Super League, were in court every week over Super League, had 11 captains by their 4th season and a couple years after he left they make the semis and have a decent junior base and a very good fan base. Once again hardly in turmoil.

Wests, we were the laughing stock of the league, in the papers every week for indescretions, couldnt win a sh*t fight, Terry Lamb was the coach, Terry Hill was a marquee signing. We get turned around WIN A PREMIERSHIP and compete every week Once again hardly in turmoil.

So sure bag Sheens after this years garbage that was dished up, I'll agree with you, sack him for all I care but to say the bullsh*t some of you clowns go on with is ridiculous. Sheens strength is that every club hes been with has been in a better state after he has p*ssed off, he's not the best technical coach IMO, he's not the best communicator IMO but he does put clubs on the right track and develop a junior base (look at Marshall, Collis, Fulton, Lawrence, TeO, Tuiaki and I could go on) and to say otherwise is bullsh*t or just shows your lack of knowledge of the game.

And why was there no money ? Well (added to other factors) Junior Burger the tard was signed for 3 yrs and Phatz let go so Lawrence could play centre and the clown would get more of a rails run for centre. It was disgraceful we couldn't offer a dual premiership winner, 1 try every 2 games, international centre a contract. Some very f**king hard questions will soon be asked and things will have to change. Well done Ronald, piss off Benji et al by getting rid of their mate and sign your f**king mong son for 3 yrs. Tard

Well that's what i'd like to know. Sheens has said that alot of the money has been spent on the juniors, but even that cannot explain reaching the cap limit, especially when alot of the grand final players such as Prince, Laffranchi and Skando left the club :crazy:

The frustration on Sheen's face when he told people at the open day in Jan 05 that he WANTED to spend big on Wiki but he was told no.

I just don't get it...
the numbers don't add up.
we can't be at the cap.
Offering Monaghan, Prince and alike 300+, offloading skando, boof, prince...
the cap increasing to 4mil

i was always crap with maths, but benji CAN'T be on 750k!

You wonder where the f**k it is going, though between morris, galloway, o'hara and junir burger there'd be near enough a million being spunked on that lot. Galloway's contract goes up this yr and next as well ... this will all come to a head shortly
