I think I remember reading he was having a couple of surgeries to get over wear and tear from last season. Shoulder may have been one of them?

The web site says Thommo's due for a Rd 3 return - not that that's been any good indication in the past, but that is what I've heard from other sources too.

I wouldn't expect him to be suiting up for round 1.

If true that's good news, but with Tilse, Logan, Weyman, Miller, Williams and Raston all ready I just hope they don't rush him back at less than 100%.

No point rushing Thommo back when there is so much depth. TT is keen to play, but he should take the time to heal. Look at TLL last year when he insisted on playing with a bung knee.

If he keeps Tilse out of the team, I am happy for him to play at 75% fitness.

What a ridiculous thing to say. As far as I'm concerned, everyone starts with a clean slate this year... new coach, new approach... but even if they didn't, Tilse did enough towards the end of the year to prove to me that he definately has what it takes at this level.

How exactly did Tilse prove this. He proved he has potential, but hasn't looked like even knowing how to fill tht yet.

Tilse played some pretty good footy for us last year, i was more then happy with his progress, no doubts this is the year he needs to step up and make a name for himself though

He needs to add mongrel to his game and develop a Willie Mason running style not to mention a killer offload.

I was actually talking to Troy the other day. He had three operations over the summer. A finger tendon operation, a shoulder reconstruction and an ankle clean out. Surprisingly it was probably the finger that was causing him the most problem.

It is touch and go for round one but if he does miss he won't miss too many matches.

I can't believe some of you people would debate whether he should be in the team or not. He should be the FIRST player picked in my opinion.

As I have said before on this forum and one day I will go through and work out the stats, but how many games have we won over the past couple of years when Thommo hasn't played?
