I couldn`t tell you exactly how many tries Jermaine Alberts has scored this year, but I would imagine it`s up around the 30 mark. He`s a very impressive individual with all the qualities to be a top notch winger that`s for sure.Greally has blistering pace and I have a feeling Sheensy has pencilled him in to take Moodies spot on the wing.

Greally's footwork continues to amaze me.He regularly creates something out of nothing.Wing could be an option although his size would be the only concern.Jermaine Alberts has scored in just about every match this year and has scored plenty of doubles and 2 or 3 hat tricks too. He'd have scored at least 20 -25 tries.

I think Simon's just about as quick as anyone in the club. I'd also Put Nowland, McDonnell and Samia in there too, they're all speed demons.

As for Greally next season, I think he'd be an option on the wing as we all know he wont play fullback. Its striking though the similarities between Greally and Hodgson, very similar indeed although, i think Simon's got it over Brett on pace.

AS for Jermaine, what a pick up! I can only think of maybe 2-3 games where he hasnt scored this season. I'd say he'd have easily 20 tries???????? Its the ease at which he scores them which amazes me. I've seen quite a few long range tries this season and he tramples the defense as if they're 20 yrs younger than him. Certainly got the potential to play first grade, he can tackle too, defensively he's getting better which is equally as important.

Before Friday night's match he'd scored 21 tries.

He scored another double in Friday night's loss, so that makes it a whopping 23 tries so far, with quite a few weeks left to play.

Wonder how that compares to some of the other clubs' young guns???

ive wanted to see this kid play all year but whenever i make it to a game he doesnt play! could someone give us a run down on his build? was he that guy with the joven clarke sorta build or is he bigger? anyone got any measurements or even estimates for height and weight? i feel these may come into his development plans for first grade..

Alberts is a big unit, around 6ft and I'd estimate 90 to 95kgs. His pace is electric but don't underestimate his strength and palm off.

In saying that, credit many of his tries to Caldwell and especially Wara, who has the ability to be able to draw in the centre and winger to free Alberts.

Yeah, when he's close to the line the chances of stopping him are slim as was evident on friday night. 23 tries hey, not bad at all, he's missed around 3 games or so too?

More info guys... Is he capable of being our FG winger next year?

Its 50/50 I think, the kid has the abillity to be one of the top line attacking wingers in the game but his biggest problem is he is a bloody lazy player especially in defence.

If he could gain an intrest into the game and work on his defence I think he could be a chance for a wing spot next year but he would be in a very big group trying to fit into that backline thats all I will say

Yeah, his attack is first class but defensively while he is improving he does tend to stand back. He can tackle though, he's shown that , is just a matter of getting a little bit more involved in defense.

Other than that i dont see a reason as to why he cant play first grade, still he's yet to even make an impact in PL which obviously has to be his next goal.

thanks guys. I do apologise I can't get to see many Wests Reserve grade games.

Alberts is a Balmain Tiger mate ;-)

I still think players like Collis, Greally, Wara, Pangai are all infront of him at the moment just because they are versatile, are able to defend but most of all do show plenty of interest all the time not just when they feel like it!
