PARRAMATTA Giant prop Justin Tsoulos is unavailable for Saturday night's clash with the Bulldogs after undergoing minor knee surgery, but Eels coach Brian Smith still has another eight front-rowers to choose from - not including captain Nathan Cayless. With Chris Armit, Aaron Cannings, Corey Pearson, Adam Peek, Craig Stapleton, Fui Fui Moi Moi and Mal Kaufusi all vying to partner Michael Vella up front, Cayless will pack down alongside Nathan Hindmarsh in the second row.

Looking at the dogs, i think that there pack would line up like this:

With tsoulos out and considering that wagon will be playing 5/8, my pack and bench would be:

The only fear I have with this pack is the creativity level, we all know that Cayless and Pearson can pop a ball but u need some creativity as well.

i reckon that Cannings will partner vella... with pearson off the bench..I wouldn't at all be surprised if the eels have a very heavy bench

My prediction will be that Pearson will be in the starting team.
Not sure if Peeky is available, but if he is he will surely be on the interchange with perhaps Armitt or Cannings. Howeve if Tsoulos was available I would have him in front of both Cannings and Armitt at this stage.

I agree with Pearson starting. A comptent old head to start the season is the smartest move for mine.

I'd start with Pearson and Vella (he's been playing well hasn't he?).

Then put Cannings into the attack with Peek.

I think that Mal Kaufusi has a good chance of getting a spot on the bench. There is always going to be a forward on the bench that isnt going to get much game time so i think that we should have a damaging forward like Kaufusi in the team filling that role.
