Get f*cked twinkie! I've been in the fight game for years! I know more than you bitch! For a world champion to not answer the bell is f*cking disgraceful. He's pulled a James Lieja move by not wanting to get knocked out!

He's lost face here tonight and Ricky Hatton CAN be beat and there are fighters in the division who could/can/will beat him, namely Cotto. Mayweather to name another.

What's this "He knew he wasn't going to win" sh*t?

What kind of preperation is that for a fight I ask? He went into this fight knowing that he couldn't win? Boggles the mind. And you call me a f*ck wit?

Johnny Lewis knew himself that his fighter was washed up!

Quiter!

If you're in the garden thisarvo and the weeds are over powering you, then just do what Tszyu does and quit.

Hey Newcastle Knights....If the going gets tuff against BRS in a minute then just quit.

Remember Tszyu for what he was. A quiter with no ticker!
Go back to Rostov of Don mar f*cker and take all them twig Arminian fighters with you!

Mark ass bitch!

He didnt go into the fight knowing he couldnt win you genius.

I said he probably knew that the fight was over after the 11th. Hatton was ahead on points and Kostya wouldnt have knocked him out. Not that that would have been the basis for his decision to throw in the towel.

Instead it would have been because he simply had nothing left. No breath and badly beaten. Like i said, no other fighter in the div woudl have last 6 roudns tonight.

And you've been in the fight business for ages have you? Im sure you have you illiterate turd.

How do you get it?

You're wanking on the thunder box?

You're doing a Cow?

You're quiting like TSZYU!

I've sure got a thirst.

But I'm too lazy to twist the twist top so I just quit like Tszyu.

Remember boys and girls when the going gets tuff just do what ole Zoo does and simply QUIT!

Don't answer the bell at 9am if you're going to school in'a morning.

Don't drag your garbage out this thursday if its too heavy. Just quit.
Learn from Zoo the finest techniques of quiting! Show no courage what so ever just quit!

BLLG, mate your an absolute disgrace! If Kostya didn't answer the bell, then he was obviously hurt! You don't know sh*t about Boxing, and with your lack of respect you ought to be living in the US!
Kostya's a true Champion, but Hatton would ever give him any room and had a good enough fight plan to win.

Obviously something was wrong with Kostya.
You never hear him whinge or make excuses.
We'll probably never hear the real story.
Kostya admitted Hatton was the better man.
If Kostya wanted to quit he could have quit after the low blow.
I'm not ruling that out as a contributing factor either.

A quote from here http://sports.espn.go.com/sports/boxing/columns/story?columnist=rafael_dan&id=2076567

"I knew it was nearly impossible for me to win. I thought I was behind, three or four points behind," he said. "I haven't been that tired or exhausted for years and years. I had one of the best training camps and I was in great shape. Something was wrong. I was just flat. It wasn't me. "

Sounds like he's saying he thought he was losing and was tired so just quit.

Mentions nothing about being hurt and saying "something was wrong" is excuse making.

BLLG anytime you piece of sh*t, anytime.

Dont you dare talk down of kostya, you wouldnt have a clue, a piece of sh*t police boys reject has no right in talking down to one of the true champions and best sportsman of the modern era.

You my friend have nothing except regret and anger, do not take it out on a true champion.

Kostya lost, wether it was ill preperation or losing to a younger more hungry fighter, we cannot argue that he lost.
His class will be echoed in the ages when he acknowledged he lost to a better fighter on the night.
Me I was a hatton bagger from the get go, after that fight, I show respect and the best wishes for his further career.

Tzsyu isnt finished by a long shot, he will step up a weight and play with the big boys (judah, delahoya) .

What was so disappointing was that after Tszyu beat Mitchell the first time when Mitchell made excuses about an injured knee Tszyu said that he would fight on a broken leg. I think his quote from memory was something like "If my leg was broken I would still fight...You're a fighter so you have to fight..."

Well he obviously felt like he couldn't continue so I'm not going to condemn him he's been a great champ for many years but his explanation is just strange. Why not go out and try a couple of haymakers instead of quitting? Quitting on your stool when you're a bit beat up but no real discernible damage for a 12 rd championship fights especially when you've got one punch power and have had your moments just doesn't make sense to me. I've never fought a pro or amateur fight but it just doesn't seem like Tszyu...I mean even Mundine had a twisted ankle but stayed out there against Siaca (even though he looked crap).

In saying that I think that Hatton was the better man and the low blow was just a square up for Tszyu which he was unfairly awarded a KD for. Hatton is a very fit determined guy with decent power and a great workrate but I honestly think he'll have major problems with Mayweather who eats up pressure fighters for breakfast. I just think that his style was awkward for Tszyu and Tszyu has never been a defensive genius - you don't need a great defense if you have a great offense but sometimes it helps...it definately would have helped here.

Tszyu should have employed the jab and uppercut more and simply had to move better laterally. His strategy simply sucked and was never able to land often enough to keep the young bulldog off him. I don't think he should retire he's not shot but just ran into a guy who had his number and the perfect strategy for his own ability and countering Tszyu's effectiveness. In saying that I won't be surprised if he retires. He's turned 35 and can enjoy his payday with his family while his health is totally intact. Good luck to him whatever he decides he's provided a great amount of enjoyment for fight fans of many nations.

Kostya Tszyu beaten
From correspondents in Manchester, England
June 5, 2005

JOHNNY LEWIS had a tear in his eye after putting an end to Kostya Tszyu's world title defence and possibly pulling the curtain on one of boxing's great careers.

0,5001,5014457,00.jpg

Tszyu wanted to come out for the 12th and final round in which he needed to knock out unbeaten English challenger Ricky Hatton to keep his IBF light-welterweight world crown for the 17th time.

But trainer Lewis, who has been with him since he immigrated from Russia and turned pro in Sydney in 1992, kept the 35-year-old on his stool after he took some serious punishment in the 11th.

In the chaotic aftermath at the MEN Arena in Hatton's home town Manchester early today, Tszyu was uncertain whether he would carry on after the second loss in his 34-fight career.

"I'm a very, very proud man, I'm not saying it's the end of my career, maybe it is, maybe it isn't," Tszyu told the crowd from the ring at around 3.15am.

"But I'm saying today I lost to the better fighter."

As the passionate local crowd clamoured around Hatton – who took his record to 39-0 – and TV crews interviewed Tszyu, an obviously affected Lewis was being consoled ringside.

"Johnny was very emotional at the end, because they've been very close for a long time," said Tszyu's promoter Vlad Warton.
...

Kostya never quit, his camp threw in the towel even though he wanted to keep going!

Tszyu is the last person I expected to give in. Watching it live I was in disbelief and my faith in sport dwindled a little. Reading that he wanted to go on and Lewis had to stop the fight makes it easier to swallow.

Don't worry about BLLG, check out his website and see what a mental case he really is. No wonder he is 11 stone heavier than Kostya, it is all the KFC.

I don't think this is the end for Tszyu, he stated recently that he wanted to have his final fight in Russia because that is where he started his career. He has been one heck of a champion and has given Australia someone to be proud of. I know I am.

I don't think he wanted to continue

But by the end of the 11th, the 35-year-old Tszyu was sitting on his stool with a blank look on his face and trainer Johnny Lewis urging him not to continue. Tszyu agreed and referee Dave Parris stopped the fight, sending Hatton, 26, and the crowd into a celebration.

"I didn't complain too much," Tszyu said of the stoppage.

I thought the fight didn't quite live up to expectations, very few clean punches thrown, I actually thought Kostya landed a few nice ones but my god why is Hatton nicknamed the hitman? He should be nicknamed the grappler. I know its all apart of boxing but I don't think I've seen so much grappling in my life. Hatton's strategy the whole fight was basically cop a rioght jab then grapple and throw the upper cut.
Mundine went from league to boxing, I reckon hatton should go from boxing to league.
