Hawthorn midfielder Travis Tuck has become the first player to record a third strike under the AFL's controversial illicit drugs policy after being found unconscious by police.

Suspended for 12 AFL games but can play in the VFL after 8 games. That is outrageous.

Soft suspension

A SPECIALLY-CONVENED tribunal hearing has suspended Hawthorn's Travis Tuck for 12 AFL matches for his third strike under the League's illicit drugs policy, but Tuck is free to continue training with the Hawks, and if he remains on the club’s list next season he will permitted to return in the VFL after he has sat out eight games.
