Tui to wing

Manly signed him. Funny eh?

Any Chanze (pun incoming) Nicoll-Klokstad is in the running? Part of me thinks Fus is far too talented to see out his days as a winger.

Agree on Fus though he's also our best finisher (unless we're talking when there's 2 or 3 guys to go through from 5m out, in which case the money is always on Manu)

Yeah it's difficult, Fusitua is a great finisher and scores a lot of tries that I don't think many others in our squad would be able to. But what's better for the team?
Centre: Fusitua
Wing: Tui
OR
Centre: Tui / unproven centre
Wing: Fusitua

First one is better imo. Maybe on the end of certain moves they could even switch Fusitua and Tui.

Yeah, 'comparative advantage' was a term we used a lot in regards to Tui and our backline last year. Fus clearly a better centre and wing than anyone else in our squad. I imagine he'll be given centre to get his hands on the ball as much as he can.

A Fusitua and Kata centre pairing is pretty good IMO.

1. RTS
2. Lolohea
3. Fusitua
4. Kata
5. Vatuvei

Maumalo and Ayshford seem the odd men out at this stage but with the number of injuries Manu had this year, the writing is on the wall and they will probably get a fair bit of game time throughout the year..

Happy to see Aysh and Tui both float around and plug gaps as needed. Maumalo not so much, haha

I'd rather have Tui in the backline than Maumalo so this doesn't bother me. I like that he'll have a more settled position this year. I heard we's been training in both wing and centre, but personally I like team Fufu posted above and Aysh is a very handy backup. If Tui starts to fail, Aysh to centre and Fus to wing. Hopefully Manu is fit and delivers one final awesome year. Maumalo for me is still the last option. Limited depth though, I hope not so many backline injuries this year!
