tweedy by ko in the 1st round imo
omg Dylan is old enough to be his grandfather. Although I've heard Jeff Tweedy aches just like a woman, and breaks like a little girl.

No doubt Wilco rules, but what are the parameters of the discussion - songwriting? Vocals? Albums? Best individual songs? It's a directionless discussion...

I've never been a big Dylan fan but can appreciate his place in music. However Yankee Hotel Foxtrot is prob in my top 3 albums ever, The doco 'I Am Trying To Break Your Heart' is one of my fave movies ever, and they are probably in my top 5 live acts I've seen - so to me Tweedy rules.

Incidently, the live album "Kicking Television - Live in Chicago" is due out early November. Lets hope they tour it here...

And any way...isn't Bright Eyes supposed to be the new Dylan? (Tweedy owns His arse as well...)

Isn't Kicking Television a DVD aswell? Would be an essential for my collection. You're right about "I Am Trying to Break Your Heart." T'was so satisfying to see Jay Bennett get the boot.

As for the parameters for this comparison, it's based on personal preference in the aforementioned categories. Give me YHF over Blood on the Tracks and Summerteeth over Blonde on Blonde any day of the week.

I've only read about the live album - the blogs that are talking about it haven't referred to a DVD (although it would make sense to release one as well...).

I did a little digging, apparently there was a DVD planned but it got scrapped. O well, I suppose the few live tracks from their doco will have to suffice.
