What are you expecting from the new year?
What would you like to achieve in 2013?
What are you hoping to avoid in 2013?

Expecting a knee recon...at some point. Aside from that, I have no idea.

I would like to achieve savings, with the goal of a car and/or a europe trip. And tbh... I'd like to meet someone, even I get bored of pissing up every weekend just because nothing better to do.

I would like to avoid falling into the same traps and the ruts of the last 2 years

2012 was a decent year for me, was pretty happy with it overall.

I guess the main things on my 2013 to do list are:

Get a permanent job, no more of these contract ones
Keep saving towards buying my first house
Get my license and a car back
Cut back a little on the drinking and other things
Start eating a bit more healthy (Salad and less meat for dinner as a start)

All doable if I put some effort into it

2012 was by no means a bad year, it was just.. uneventful. Which i kind of needed after 2011. But meh, over it now, bring on new shit!

2013 will hopefully bring about a kick up the ass so I finally start taking things a little more seriously.

Achieve: Stay in uni, get a part time job or leave get fulltime job (Pref stay in uni). Keep myself going at the gym so i'm a fit boy. Get myself a decent serious girlfriend.

Avoid: Lazy/Fat/Unmotivated Monk. He's a chill dude but he's not going anywhere in life.

1. A better year than 2011 + 2012. Get a good job, save some money, just move forward with my life.

2. To be happy. No more resolutions about weight loss and finding girlfriends, that hasn't worked for the last 7 years.

3. Another 2011 or 2012.

Hopefully my wife and i can de-stress, get healthy and everything else will fall into place.

Perhaps a change of scenery is on the cards to which would be a nice change of pace

1. Probably to be homeless at some because Mum has kicked me out for being a lazy prick.

2. Stop being a lazy prick. Work out what I'm going to do with my life (graduate official from Uni in April). Maybe travel, I have decent $$$ saved.

3. Spending my life on video games

When I'm out raging on New Years Eve I'll be saying Goodbye and Good Riddence to 2012. Been a tough year for me. A year where I lost both my Grandfather and Step Father. Work has gotten harder for me and my footy team had high hopes only to fail to deliver. I just want to wipe the slate clean.

Hopefully find the missing piece of my life's jigsaw.

I am hoping to gain a sense of purpose in 2013. I don't think devotion to cricket quite cuts it as a purpose

1. Expecting to visit at least one new country, expecting to break up with my girlfriend when she moves, and expecting to waste entirely too much time online.

2. I am hoping to lose another 5-10kgs, finish a novel or game brief, increase my monthly website income to at least $1000/pm, and to be happier.

3. I'm hoping to avoid a relapse in my battle with depression, any more harmful romantic relationships, missing Christmas with my family, and increasing my credit card debt.

1. Move for uni, start a new job, enjoy the 'perks' of the Gold Coast.

2. Decent marks at Uni and steady girlfriend are the goals.

3. Homesickness. More like friend-sickness, couldn't be more keen to move but will miss long-time mates.

I can't help but feel that leaving Cairns for the Gold Coast is a bit of a trade down. Never been a fan of the Gold Coast.

Do it. It will be the best thing you ever do. I was with a psychotic bitch for 3 years, memories of note were getting stabbed in the head with a set of keys, having my iron thrown at me, having global knives thrown at me and her ripping on my handbrake whilst doing 60km/h on a busy main road.

I have now been seeing a new girl for 18 months, we havnt had a single fight yet and she is pregnant.

The thing is, my girl makes me happy and she's not abusive or a bitch. We have a lot of fun together and I'm very fond of her, but I can't go to the States with her unless we get married and I have no desire to rush back to Australia with her on a work holiday visa.

The only drawback to this girl, I've found, is that she wants a lot of my attention and that inhibits my social life.

you gotta do whats best for you i guess.
if you regret it, she sounds like the type of clingy chick that would take you back

Ha! She's definitely a little clingy. Ironically, that was me in every previous relationship. I'd never opt to spend time away from them if presented with the opportunity, but now I find I'm having to fight my way to the occasional bit of free time.

It's nice that she wants my attention - coz she's a good deal more attractive than I would usually hope to land, but I do miss the free time.

Expecting life to move forward. Feels like the past couple of years have been stuck on pause but with new study, travels and events planned I feel like I'm ready for a new cycle.

Good grades, good memories & some more cash in my pocket. Also want to keep hitting new PBs in the gym.

Stagnation.
