The timing might be just too late to get all the people in place to have TPA's ready to throw at competitive contracts like AFB and Deardon etc.. we are still a hard sell (nothing has changed yet and players wont care about a sponsor) vs Gould whos approach is polished and clearly works... even on a bunch of players who are going to end up in reserve grade... but even if we do miss these 2, we know there are better times ahead now.

Whilst its fantastic news, mega rich people like this dont get rich just throwing money away. Its a sponsorship deal for his renewable energy company and he will pay the sponsorship amt which is great. But what makes people think anymore then that is required or will come? just being realistic

I don’t know, but it’s hugely exciting if we can replace our major sponsor with a company (controlled?) associated with Australia’s 2nd richest person and maybe even better, a Rugby identity putting money into League.

This sponsorship deal no doubt will have many conditions put in place like any transaction. Andrew Forrest of course wants a lot of publicity for his renewable energy product.

Yeah, there is a business case behind this by the look of it. I guess the port kembla link trumps the moving to Perth at least !

but the challenge will be to turn it from a business decision to a passion.

same for the Gordon’s who have already stated it is for passion rather than business.

lets see this really drive us back into the number 1 club in Aus!
