I was actually quite proud of Tyran Smith yesterday. He really had the passion and determination but was just a bit too reckless. At least he wasnt soft and infact the whole team was pretty much on fire until Schif got put in the sin bin. What a joke! :evil:
Marty was shocking I cant believe what has happened to the guys form hopefully he will be back in form next season.
Tyran might have given away some silly penalty's but if you want to beat the roosters you have to play extremely physical and put them off their game which Tyran had the right idea about.

I am feeling better about life today, but I have to admit I just went to bed at 6pm and felt depressed. Wiki in the dressing room, really lifted my hopes, and then a good performance for 30 minutes or so.... but then a collapse. Just epitomised the whole season... promise, only to dash the hopes of supporters. I am sure Elliott is a nice guy, he produces good one liners, but he just isn't working as coach of the Raiders. He isn't part of the Raiders culture. We need a Raider back to coach the team.

look, no doubt tyran did some good things (in defence only, i might add), but penalties are a MAJOR deal. so many tries are scored on the back of penalties, and he gave away about 3 or 4. added to that, he had his usual dropsies. overall, a poor game (to say the least) from tyran.

everyone's saying how we were great in the opening 30 minutes, but i think it was total crap. it was "avoid the loss" football, very negative. i was embarassed to be a Raiders supporter, and when the crowd chanted "boring", i joined in.

I agree it wasn't pretty, and there were some awful parts to the first 30 minutes too: the shocking 5th tackle options and other errors. However, at least we didn't let in 22 points like the last time we played them...... I was at least feeling hopeful we might grind it out with them.... And the proof is that when we started throwing the ball around... the critical errors eventuated which led to the landslide. We have to face it, this team was incapable of an expansive game plan.
