W.Smith....I remember that article on Billy Smith back in about...oww...1975 in the RLW, the one that showed how many bones he'd broken in his whole body...as in many ...that really got me into Dragons as a littly! The guts of the bloke and the passion...great work!

I remember that article,no wonder he likes a drink,the arthritic pain must drive him crazy throughout his body.Not saying todays players aren't tough by any means ,but players in previous eras played in the most brutal of times with foul play,hard grounds and the good old magic sponge to treat injuries.
Billy was as tough as they came.

i love him, my first favourite player as a kid and ive had 2 photos taken with him the past couple years, he evn chatted up my missus the last time i saw him back in round 4 at Kogarah and i couldna been more proud Lol !

Have to agree seems ok to me....just for the record glad the Sharks won last night, although the refs and video boys imo did their best to keep the Broncos in the game......the hit on Hoff was legit and should have resulted in a try and the try awarded to their skipper (Glen) imo was a double movement....but as usual the home town crowd in Bris imo have a large influence on refs decision making at times.....I think this is impacted by the fact that the crowd are so close to the sideline.....just wait and see what happens Wed night.....as I say just my observations.

srsly the refs were incredibly 1-sided, several textbook hits were penalised, nearly cost them the game too. I like how the sharks are using a 'pack-mentality' at the moment, their forward are all trying to give it to the opposition... though sustaining it without injury might be another story.

Nah agreeance doesnt bother me...I give credit where its due....besides Im from Lilli Pilli and played for what was then Cronulla/ Caringbah.....used to be the St George area then thats why Im a Dragon through and through....anyway you blokes are the real deal this year and will do well....and just a footnote we will swap Friz for Jeremy if you like.

Fair comment.....Im all for youth as well...mainly tongue in cheek stuff really....but having agreed with you there would be many on here that would love him back.....when he left so did the ''ouch" in our forwards imo...Was exactly the type of player we needed to stick around for awhile to bring out the best in young De belin, Hunt etc ...and at 31 I would sooner his 'better' days than some others in the NRL....

I agree with you BSE, it wouldn't bother me to see Smith back in the Red V, I just think Frizell, although largely untried I suppose at NRL level is probably the better option particularly long term. I hope he works out. Cheers

Smith won't be coming back to the Dragons, unless the Telecrap organises it. It's all talk. Have to wait and see how Frizell goes. He does look big and strong.

Yeh interesting to see Shane Flanagan try to squash those rumours on sat at the airport, they asked him and he said he will be re-signed etc..
