Typical of a Tory! Youd think being from Liverpool she'd know there is two rugby codes. Joke of a party led by clowns.

Britain's Secretary of State for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport, Nadine Dorries, delivered a stunning gaffe on Thursday when, praising the sport of rugby league, she referenced the most famous moment in England's rugby union history.
Speaking at an event promoting this year's Rugby League World Cup in St Helens, right in the 13-man code's northern English heartland, she said: "I’ve always quite liked the idea of rugby league. My long-standing memory is that 2003 drop goal. I’ll let you into a secret. I think we were drinking bloody marys at the time. It was 11 o’clock in the morning but wow what a moment that was."

no mate, they wont.

if you did or didnt know..rugby league is played in the north of england. across a tiny motorway corridor called the m62. goes from liverpool to hull (never been to hull...dont think im missing much to be honest), thats it really. got a couple of teams in france, some minor teams in the south.

The national sport is football (NOOOO not rugby footie, but soccer), rugby union is big over here. Rugby league is like way down the list of games watched/played here.

this is unfortuate but thats inbred stiff upper lip breeding for you. rugby union is king. league is a mere pauper...

and i hate union...
