I must say, I am highly anticipating an exciting clash.
Under 20's Origin has the capacity to be Australia's version of America's College Bowl.

I hope they have return matches up in the Gold Coast or in Townsville, and future NSW host games in Newcastle, Gosford or Allianz.

Kurt Mann at 6 for Qld is a big call.

The 18 year old might get a run at 6 for the Knights next year, but he would be well behind Will Smith, Api Pewhairangi, and Tyler Sullivan this year.

Best 5/8 for Qld - 4th best at the Knights maybe.

Played all his 16s and 18s here in Queensland, honestly could have chosen NSW but given they're selecting Kiwis & Victorians despite having over twice the amount of eligible players than Queensland I suppose his mind was made up.

From what I understand though, I don't believe this officially ties Sims to Queensland. He could change his mind later on but I just want to see Sims vs. Sims at Origin. That has 'Warrior' written all over it.
"they're selecting kiwis and Victorians"...............could you list them please.

happy with that side, maybe a real winger in and whitchurch on the bench, tago dropping off. nsw will have some big boppers but we dont need to match that. another hard working backrower like martin of the roosters might have been handy as 18th man

Only because he's doing so well at fullback though.

Tamou is not in the NSW team. The team hasn't been selected yet. He in the Australian team, don't know why.

Because he's one of the form props in the competition, for starters. Because NSW desperately needed to lock in his eligibility, too.

Jack Wighton very hard done by imo

The NSW U18 captain last year, hasn't looked out of place at all at NRL level, apparently can't get a look in at centre, 5/8th, wing or as a bench utility this year.

Looks like the NSW U20 selectors are no better than their senior counterparts.

very strange i agree but U20's rep selection isnt what im interested in. Wighton playing well for the the raiders FG squad is reward enough, im sure he'll agree.

good part of the kids picked in this squad wont make it, thats the stats... wighton is already making it. Thats his reward.
He'll be well rested for the sharkies. I feel bad for him but ultimately, good players arent made or broken in U20's SOO games. Wighton is a FG

Certainly a head-scratcher RE Wighton, he hasn't been brilliant in FG but at least he's there.

Avua'a played U18 for Queensland 2 years ago.

Ben Hampton wuould have to be a certainty for QLD at 7 and Id like to think Young Tonumaipea would be a good chance on the wing for NSW.

Good to see young get a spot.
