Gday Raider supporters

I have to say I really enjoy the way the Raiders play and operate. Gee if it wasn't for the raiders half of country NSW would be lost. I love it how your side focuses on juniors without signing any big names.

I really think your young players are going to go a long way, gee you have some classy young backs. I just think the raiders need to open their cheque book and sign 2-3 really experienced players. I would say a half back ( might sound stupid, even someone like brett kimmorely, someone with experience), a hooker ( I think Travis is going to be a great player , but the raiders need some experience players in key positions) and a very class forward ( like Glen steward, Mateo, Luke O'Donnell). I think these three type of players will turn the Raiders into a top four side

Everyhow my reason for this post is Todd Carney, I totallty agree with Canberra's sacking of the him, he is obviously a first class idiot. But there is no doubting he is a one in a generation player. Obviously Canberra have put a lot of effort ( and money) in developing him from juniors into a experienced first grader. Now the Roosters are going to benefit this time and money. Surely if the NRL was serious there should be some compensation system in place for this kind of situation

Keep up the good work and best of luck for the year !!!

Would be nice to sign all these experienced and well known players but the fact is we just cant attract them and the management sugar coats it if you like and promotes how great all these youngsters are and how we dont have to recruit wait till 2 years on and we will be top 4 etc it may be true but we wont have the consistancy needed to be a top 4 team until we get an established halfback and some experience to guide these youngsters like Melbourne have done so well down there

yep know what you mean. Must admit I have worked in Canberra before and have had the opportunity to move the family there, but the biggest problem is Canberra is so expensive that a 30% wage increase would only just cover the increase cost of living. So there was no benefit in moving.
