Yep opposition packs have gotten bigger and better while ours has basically stayed the same look at the most dominationg teams in the past 4 years England in 2003, SA and NZ now we need to find some atheletes that can compete with them.

I have just come back from being in Surfers for about 12 days and got a chance to see the Semi or final of your Club comp cant remember who was playing but they subbed on Waugh in the second half. Any way I have to say I didnt think much of the game it looked like something out of our 3rd division, a lot of dropped ball, lots of stop starts nothing free flowing and not much ball getting out to the backs. No wonder league fans bag union in Aus.

Postives though was that Aus has fantastic weather lots of happy faces great eating spots and I enjoyed watching the League final at a resonable hour free to air even if they kept cutting to adds every chance they had. Also good to see union on free to air well I think it was free to air. Darn NZ and its no free to air rugby.

Your joking right? Not even NPC is on FTA? that is a disgrace! Geez what is happening to the Rugby world? I remember back in the day when S12 was on FTA now that has gone completely to cable. So now we only have Tri Nations and tests on FTA and I have heard that next year Fox will have the rights to them, I have also heard there is no FTA in SA, England, Ireland and France why is the rugby world alienating itself from the public? The IRB should front all TV costs and get us better coverage now!!

It seems to be an australian tight arsed attitude with pay TV..... SKY TV present sport a 100 times better than TVNZ and TV3 ever did.... and just under half the households in the country agree... For $80.00 a month (not much in the scheme of things) we getdigital TV with everything..sports, movies, the lot... for an extra $6.00 a month you can get the Rugby channel with all the games from overseas as well... the pubs and clubs agree as well... they are always packed when a big game is on.

I dont understand what the facination with FTA is any more? Who wants sports that has add breaks, doesn't start on time and even cuts the end off for the news????.... While TV money in general is wrecking both codes it is hear to stay so as long as its there it should be done right... and that is PAY TV.

I dont mind that Pay TV has come in as you have to generate money for players from some where. But I still think for your national sport that you have to pay to watch an international or the final of your domestic comp is a bit on the nose. If we can watch our basket ballers on free to air at a world champs why cant we watch our AB's, blackcaps.

Te Kaha, I barely watch any TV as it is, I am not going to spend $60 a month on Pay TV when I only want 2 or 3 channels at most, if there was a sports package I would get it straight away but there isn't.

And if aussies are tight arsed about Pay TV we have a right to be, what with the monoply AUSTAR and FOXTEL currently have over here.

And you can watch the All Blacks, NPC, S12 e.t.c free to air on TV 3 - it's just a hour late with sh*tty commentators and ad breaks - like Te Kaha said.
