You cant watch that much union if you believe that all the moves are copied from league. Which makes your comments a joke! End of story!

Was rugby league not designed around union?
And who's to say that league came up with all those moves anyway?

I'm not saying that they were. I'm just asking why you think it was league who came up with them and not union.

How can you prove that league came up with the moves ?? why should union have to prove it ?

Union does so many more moves in their attack than league.

Personally, I don't think it is always the way to go. I think what you do in attack should depend on what your opposition is doing. But you can't always coach those instincts. Set moves have their place.

Are you saying it was as exciting as a league game Roosterphin?

If so I'd have to agree. Was a top game and those backline moves were electric. They certainly could not be accused of playing it safe in that game.

Not your typical dour English game at all. The Poms even threw it around.

Come along and have a run for Brisbane irish Rooster. I hated union before I started playing

you union supporters are a joke! you think your game is exiting. my mates dad who got picked for qld in union and made qld under-21's in league said as a forward running at top spead at a defence running at you is 20 times more tougher then union. he had to give up league at 22 because of injuries so he played union, got picked for qld but didnt play because he did his knee

What a stupid thread! The games are SO different, to call one a clone of the other is just plain....well, stupid.

It works both ways. Don't forget the spiral pass...the spiral bomb kick...the slide defence (even Warren Ryan admits that one was borrowed from union).

Is that why the Warriors are playing so poorly this year?

Well the Blues were crap this year as well so you might be on to something! But considering that the Blues won the S12 last year and the Warriors finished one game away from the GF, I'm sure it seemed like a good idea at the time!

LOL LOL LOL

You've got to be kidding ozbash. Do you not watch Super 12?? Players get yellow-carded for breathing on each other. Any tackle above the chest is penalised. Any push and shove results in the the cards coming out. And worst of all, when it comes to test matches, they throw the rule book out the window and let the teams play like a bunch of dirty thugs and get away with it. A joke. And there's nothing tough about rucking someone.
