Union- the event

Be honest now
How many of us are going to watch this game because its an "Event" to see or because we want to see the game and are seriously interested
For me ill probably watch it until the bloody refs whistle gives me the "tom tits"and get tired of teams kicking crap goal kicks instead of rolling on for a try.
There had better be some tries in the game for christs sake!
No wonder people get excited about union tries....They are so rare

And yes I do know the all blacks scored some but really..Who cares!

110 days until..we be nice to them if they be nice to us-Gollum!

I don't like the game, but I have to say I wish we could borrow their administration for a few years.
I'll be watching tonight, but only because those pommies MUST go DOWN.

Most pommies need to be beaten well and often, but our private school ponces have to give it to their private school ponces, because there is nothing worse than a pommy private school ponce.

honestly interested, but with this weatehr i cant see it being a good game, i see it being a wilkinson kicking display, possibly resulting in them beating us quite comfortably

I love union, but league is better. I will watch it and be yelling, I just wish they would copy league in the point scoring department...grrrr! Bloody Johnny Wilkonson.

=; i must admit i watched it  despite detesting union with a passion
i know its a saturday night and i should be out but i have been post-hsc-partying too hard and decided to give tonight a miss as i am getting up at 5am to watch the kangaroos

i have never understood union rules and why they keep kicking into touch
there's no continuity in the game whatsoever

england definitely deserved to win that
australia were second in almost every aspect of the game

I watched the game.

Although I don't understand all the rules, it was a top game.

I am now going to stay awake for the 3rd Test match.

Then after the match, I will stagger to bed & SLEEP.

I hate Union, and didn't watch a second on TV. Not the pool games, QF, SF or Final.

But I did go to one game courtesy of free tickets from SportOdds - the England v Wales QF - 3 rows from the front of the top section. I didn't enter the competition for the tickets, they must have just had some others spare and rang me up 3 days beforehand and asked if I wanted to go. I said yes, so they Expressposted them up. I'm not a big gambler with them either (I usually on bet around $350-$400 a month during the football season), so I assume they would have asked all their big gamblers first.

A lot of differences too.

There's a lot of similarities between League and American Football as well.

I watched it, alright game but I still hate Union. I only watched it because it was the final and the Wallabies were playing. I woke up this morning and watched the league and was more excited about that. Go the last try!

One of the great games only won in the 100th minute. Watched by 300 million television viewers around the world.

The ARU made around $40 million profit which will go towards further development of the game at the grassroots level.

It's been a brilliant few weeks, the wallabies proved their doubters wrong and I must congratulate the all blacks for improving on their last world cup.

Union's not all bad. I watched the final and enjoyed it. Over the last few weeks I've been told a few rules and some observations about the game - that's helped my understanding a lot.

I watched it and love it, well most of it. My family are huge union supporters (Im the most hated member of my fam). It could of possible been the copious amounts of alcohol i had drunk or just the excitement spewing from my stepdad and my ma (who doesnt really like any sport but had drunk an entire bottle of pink champes b/c she had drunk it the weekend before and now it had reached "good luck" status , she even cried at the end )

Got into a huge fight with my uncle b/c appartently (if you didnt already know this prepare to be shocked   ) super 12's will now take over rugby league!!!!!!

I love my family ...always good for a laugh.
