Wakefield are the only team in SL that i know who have a french player in Oliver Elima.
You'll find Featherstone have Frederic Zitter in NL1.
I have a friend who works for French club SO Avignon. He and I made posts on the Workington Town website, and im sure contact was made about a link up with SO Avignon but Workington were just not interested which i found bloody annoying. There is a lot of good french youngsters who could definately hack it at NL level over here, it is still a step up from french Elite 1, so if they do well no doubt they would be snapped up by SL clubs, Sylvian Houles and Jerome Guissett, although Guisset played in OZ whcich is even better. Yacine Dekecchie also was a great talent who was desparate to play in England, but in the end got sick of playing in front of sparse crowds and poor competition standards and left for Union.

Does any one know how Dekecchie and Guisset have gone in union. Do they make the French union squads, or do the look like making them. Also, are there any other ex french leagueies who have played for the French in union. I hear of lot of stories about union pinching all the good french league juniors, but rarely hear whether or not any of them go on to make a success of it.

Sylvain Houles - 23-year-old French International centre or wing-three-quarter returns to the club on a 3-month contract to prove he is back to full fitness after missing the entire 2004 season with a serious knee injury suffered while representing his country versus the Kangaroos in September 2003.
