Blaming the weather shows that you are clutching at straws, and a piss poor effort it is. You need to learn how to read, for you I will spell it out for you again, I said union is a defensive game by nature not many points scored. Look at the NRL games this weekend, you may have seen maybe one or two games this weekend. Buy the paper or even better get pay tv and watch the entire roung rugby league is a more attacking game by nature. Lets take the two lowest scoring games in the NRL last week, a very wet week, sydney had over 20mm more rain than the had for the first trinations game, so how bad was the weather for that game?

28 - 6 and 34 - 8, thats an average of 31 -7 and look at the union scores nowhere near them. So my first point proven union is a far more less attacking game than union regardless of the weather.

Point 2, I can just hear you say that union is a better game defensively, and why?
Because all Australian super 12 teams employ an ex-rugby league player to caoch them defensively. And whois union poaching from rugby league, their backs and not the best backs mind you, now what does that say about the attacking capability of your game, not much Marcus, not much at all.

Johnsy,

if the Tri-Nations produced score lines of 28-6, 34-8, 31-7, all that I will hear from RL fans is that RU has a poor defensive game. The Wallabies Vs Boks game was 20-15, with only one try scored , and the game before that had none, and now all I keep hearing is RU doesn't have an attacking game. Can't never win with you guys. Just remember there is still 4 more games to be played. Also, did you see last years Tri-Nations? Lots of tries there! A lot of great attacking play. And what about that try Cullen scored in Wellington - that was the best set piece of play that I have ever seen.
