MANLY have lost rising fullback Will Hopoate for Monday night's important clash with St George Illawarra at Kogarah.
His withdrawal continues a disruptive week for the Sea Eagles, who are already missing Test prop Josh Perry (leg) for up to four weeks and have several players in doubt.
Hopoate, the son of former Manly winger John, was named at fullback with regular Ben Farrar out injured.
But now Hopoate has collected a hamstring injury and has withdrawn.
Experienced winger Michael Robertson is expected to shift to fullback.
Young Dean Whare, who scored three tries on debut against North Queensland in Townsville earlier this year, was due to enter the side but he too is injured.
Manly coach Des Hasler may now be forced to elevate a young Toyota Cup under-20s outside back.

Sea Eagles second-rower Anthony Watmough sustained a knee injury against Melbourne last Saturday night and is rated a 50-50 chance of playing Saints.
Hooker Matt Ballin also remains in some doubt after being concussed against the Storm. Perry, off to St Helens at the end of this season, is aiming to return for the finals.
TAB Sportsbet yesterday installed the Dragons as $1.45 favourites with Manly $2.65 outsiders.
Manly's season could hinge on the Monday night game.
A loss could cripple their hopes of a top-four finish. They complete the regular season with games against the Warriors, Roosters and Canterbury.
* DRAGONS front-rower Ricky Thorby yesterday signed with the North Queensland Cowboys.
