It's ok because Finch tries hard, he does lots of things off the ball which are good but with it in hand he is pretty average, but he tries hard and that's all that matters. What a crock of sh*t...

Jeremy Smith tries hard, doesn't make him any good, mind you Finch is a lot better than him, but the point is most people are happy to have Finch in the side because of all the stuff he does that has no relation to being a half. If that's why it's ok that he sucks in many departments on the ball maybe he shouldn't play in the halves, but our depth is shot so that's not an option.

Yeah i think he does try pretty hard, but he's very limited talent wise, and from what i've seen from him at the eels he just doesn't have what it takes to be a good half, if people thought Tim Smith was bad they obviously don't pay any attention to Finch. Judging him purely on being a half he doesn't cut it, however his other attributes convince me he should be in the team, i'm thinking he might do well at lock...

Finch is good at everything else except for putting a player over the white line. He's pet play (the inside ball) is just not good enough at this level. Andrew Johns really needs to work on his attacking game.
