Update on PC Version ?

Dont know if this has been discussed before but what are the chances of a slightly updated version of Rugby League for PC to coincide with the new seasons ?

Updated kits and players along with maybe a few nice enhancements like less high shots, maybe a tweak on selecting a defensive player, the missing superleague grounds and a few more lovely features that you didnt have time for last time around?

I certainly wouldnt mind paying for it while waiting for a possible sequel and if no sequel is planned then why not add a little to the game we already have ?

Mario and team ?????

There is very little chance of that, unfortunately. However, I am hoping for positive news regarding a sequel early next year.

In the mean time, Inertia666's mods have proven the most impressive and comprehensive to date.

I Must say I have been a bit slack in giving Inertia a big rap as I have been extremely busy throughout December with work.

His International Rugby League V2 is f&%$%#@ Fantastic and has really made playing the game a shit load more enjoyable and has ensured the current versions longevity. Its a great mod and all the jerseys are way cool.

Not to mention the fixture editors and the the team editors. You can virtually re config the play of the game. I have made mine much more defensive and every player has high tackle stats and high aggression stats. I have used the last Big League stats to update every player and the game is even more realistic. The abilty to use the audio tag for your custom players is really cool to as you can take other players names and try to match them. It is not always spot on with players names but close enough for me. I can have Anthony Tupou (spelt like that ) with Clinton Toopi's name. Not exact but close enough. Simmonds for Simmons, Carvell for Covell, Hart for Hunt, Pai for Paea etc. I do like the players having names rather then just their postions read out. Its all personal taste and with Inertias team editor very achievable. Thanks mate!

I have modified the hair pieces and created some new ones ( Mohawk, etc) which have changed the look and again I have been a little slack in posting them for everyone elses perusal. Will try to do soon.

Inertia has put a shit load of time into his mods and they are really great. He would have put hours into the new International teams creating a heap of new players and has really done his research. I have modified his initial teams as I do like hearing the players have names and although my greek team isn't fully greek it does sound greek! I know cause I am Greek!

Same goes with the Italian side and Russian side etc. I even modified the French side to be France-Malta-Lebanon ! I have an Aboriginal side in their as well. The World cup stuff is great .I have set it up as an NRL comp but with the world cup teams using real NRL players and Superleague players based on his original Teams and the 2000 World Cup sides. Again some players I have used may not be Russian but they have Eastern European names etc and I have done the same for each international team (bar Japan, Sth Africa and The netherlands-way too hard!)I also have a Custom Northern Hemisphere Comp and a Southern Hemisphere one.

Have also modified the try music as explained to on an earlier post and have some great current real tunes playing when someone scores! I love it.

Anyway.Point is that The Mod God is Inertia and I thank him dearly for his hard work and inspiration to get in there and make the game a lot more versatile. He is one smart cookie and Sidhe should employ him with the next game for his fantastic skills  ;-)

cheers Horrie for the kind words and the post. And Mario too, it's great to know the developers of the game know about the mods and like them.

IE 2.0 has been serveral months of hard work as it's nearly been a 1 man show this time but not completely. The kits took the most energy to do because there were so many and i really wanted it to be the biggest part of the game (as well as more and improved comps). With the discovery of some very important information I could expand the comps and jersies rather than overwrite them which allowed for more scope this time.

If i could have wished for anyones help again it would have been Jiffies but he wasnt available to help this time.but i'm still hoping for an appearance sometime

IE 2.0 has had nearly 90 downloads. thats a lot of people coming back to it.

the official count is 105 downloads for the hi res kits and main install file and 2.7gb of data transferred which meant I had to allocate more bandwidth from my business site to it
