No American Samoa or Timor-Leste?
Moldova, one of the teams that overtook Australia in the rankings, moved up 14 places (to No. 37) and picked up a total of 75 points, this despite not playing a single game in the rankings month.
Nah..prefer a new thread every month to be honest. :lol:NP you post a thread like this every month when the rankings update, just have a single, FIFA World Rankings thread ffs.
Nah..prefer a new thread every month to be honest.

Get's your post count up that way ;-)
Not the only thing he gets to do once a month...
AUSTRALIA are now the top ranked team in Asia after they soared up the new FIFA rankings and overtook Japan.
The Socceroos' 1-0 victories over Iraq and Ghana has moved them up eight places to No.35, with Japan dropping one place to No.38.
Korea stepped up five places to 45 and Iran rose three to 48 but none of the other Asian countries features in the latest top 50 rankings. Australia's surge in rankings was the highest of any nation in the top 50.
At the top, Argentina extended their points lead over second-placed Brazil despite being inactive during May.
Brazil enjoyed a 3-2 victory over Canada in their only match during the month, however, they lost ground by virtue of the ranking system's eight-year linear cycle.
Dunga's side will, however, be able to bridge the gap on Argentina later this month when the teams meet in a World Cup qualifier in Belo Horizonte on June 18.
World champions Italy remained in third place ahead of an unchanged top eight.
England climbed back into the top 10, up two places to ninth, following back-to-back wins against the USA and Trinidad & Tobago under new manager Fabio Capello.
Cameroon moved up three places to 13th to be the best ranked of the African teams while Egypt climbed seven places to 23rd.

Rather than start up a new thread every time world rankings are released, I'm suggesting that we just use this thread whenever they're released.
Me too - Spain >>>>>>>> Italy :lol:Good idea
I can see a bit of movement after Euro
Also, Czech Republic have taken a huge dive... slipping from 2nd in the World at the 2006 World Cup to 6th. Maybe their poor WC form was to blame.
they've only dropped to 6th?
According to post #1 lol you think they should've slipped more? Czech are a very good team dude.
Australia has slipped five places to number 40 in the latest world rankings released by FIFA yesterday.
Having reached a two-year high of 35 last month, Australias mixed results in the final qualifiers in this ranking period (one win and two losses) saw them lose 40 ranking points in total and slip to 40th.
As a result, Australia has now slipped down to the 3rd highest ranked Asian team, with Japan jumping back to the No.1 slot at 34 (up four places) and Iran jumping up a massive 11 places to 37 after an impressive unbeaten run in the June World Cup qualifiers.
The July rankings list saw a new team replace Argentina as the top ranked nation in the world, with Spains EURO 2008 triumph pushing them up to top spot for the first time in its history.
Argentina and Brazil (previously second), by comparison, plummeted down the table with the former top dog sliding to sixth while the Brazilians went back to fourth. Both teams have started their World Cup qualifying campaigns in disappointing fashion, highlighted by a 0-0 between the two sides in their last qualifying match.
Italy has moved to second, Germany third and the Netherlands moves to fifth.
