I can provide the follower numbers. I did record all those details.

Is that wrong or are Manly actually following 13,000 people? Them and Melbourne kinda stand out.

It's people like you that will stop society from progressing, its people like you that question whether white man could jump, a man could land on the moon and the possibility of getting jelly inside a donut.

Stop questioning these amazing advancements and get with the times.

Yep, Mr Saab....progress killer

Hundreds of Twitter accounts?

Internet marketer?

If you understood Twitter in any of its variety of uses, you wouldn't hold the opinion you do. Simple as that.

:?

Open online discussion forum. Pretty straight forward stuff.

For the record, LWOS (the precursor to LU and its forums) was laughed at as a fad 12-odd years ago... it's still thriving in its form.

To suggest Twitter is worthless is utterly redundant and shows NO understanding of anything about society.

Yeah, I only have to do SEO and SEM work every other day but I don't understand how Twitter works. Twitter is a waste of resources. If I had the click-through statistics on the Bulldogs links it would prove me right. Twitter is great to say you have, but interaction is terrible because very few people actually use Twitter, despite the growing account count.

And LU, like RLFans, is thriving for lack of competition, not quality. Anybody who wanted to could displace this outdated relic of a website by the start of the 2013 season. I might just create an all-encompassing League website in the off-season, just to demonstrate

So if these mediums are such a waste of time, why have all clubs ensured they have a presence on them, and a strong one at that? :?

I find Twitter insipid for the most part.

However for team updates or scores from other grounds while at the game it is a great service

I like twitter in some ways because it lets me get the headlines for things that are going on, often with a link to get the full story. I can't be bothered following the players' tweets because often they just tweet garbage.

With the League Unlimited tweets, I like to get the game updates. But then I get flooded with tweets with scores for the lower divisions. I don't mind a few tweets per game for the lower divisions but sometimes it is 20 tweets that I don't really care about. Can League Unlimited set up a separate tweet account for all this high detail for those who want it and then just give the headlines for the rest of us?

In short - no.

It's run on a volunteer basis and will largely depend on the knowledge of the person running it on a particular day as to what scores are tweeted and how frequently. The account receives a lot of praise and very little criticism for lower grade coverage so I doubt anything will change.

That, and managing two accounts simultaneously might work for large media organisations with manpower - LU, while a great service, isn't in that category.

I am one of the people who helps out on the League Unlimited account. Fact is, the lower grades such as the Toyota Cup need to be published and shown for all to see. the Toyota Cup needs to get the air time so the young players coming up can be seen and recognised for their talents.

Like I said, I'm happy to receive some lower grade tweets, but feel that the current level is too high. If others feel it is just right, I'm happy to live with that.

Furthermore, I never called myself an expert - If you don't like what I had to say than only the club can fix what they produce. Quite frankly, 10 tweets from the Parramatta Eels in this modern day is not acceptable.
