That just sucks. If cricket could have expanded their it would be a pretty global game. Add in China and you probably have a sport right up there with soccer.

Thats not really a strong argument, AFL rates as one of Australia's most hated sports merely for the fact that so many league and union people despise it - yet it is also the most popular.

yep very true. It had a brief stint of popularity in the us i believe in the 80's but that was a long time ago. I dont mind baseball myself. Hard to see anything upstaging it as America's number one summer sport. In fact, there's a distinct possibility one day that the West Indies may be lost as a result of baseball and or soccer. I for one would love to see the Windies strong again. Their gun teams of the 80's and early 90's were incredible to watch.
