You don't need a doctor at games.
99% of games played in Australia haven't got a doctor present.
A doctor can't do anything more in the middle of a field than anyone with a 3 day first aid cerficate can do.
Very little surgery occurs in the middle of a football field.

Amateur games don't have one no. But every pro game will do, and every international fixture. I would suggest that in a litigious society, like the USA, having a doctor present at a fixture like this would be one of the first things your organise.

A paramedic or even a standard ambo would be far more experienced at first aid than 9 out of 10 doctors.
First aid isn't brain surgery - and brain surgery isn't done on football fields.
