This week's 'sick-puppy stat' is all about wooden-spooners and minor
premiers.

First of all, here's a list of sides to have gone an entire season winless,
and the last time they did so :
Easts (3) - 1945
Wests (2) - 1946
Logan City (2) - 2002 .... in 1997 they did have only a draw, though
Ipswich (1) - 1996

All other clubs have never suffered the indignity !!! Good effort I would
have thought ....

Secondly, here's the worst record for minor premiers (top of table) :
1977 - Redcliffe (14 wins / 7 losses from 21 matches)
1981 - Souths (14 wins / 1 draw / 6 losses from 21 matches)

And naturally, the best record for wooden-spooners :
1962 - Wynnum-Manly (7 wins from 21 matches)
1977 - Souths (7 wins from 21 matches)

Well, we lasted 56 years before repeating the dose in 2003. Winless ! I guess we're joint leaders with the scum now, but we have a marginally better for and against .... :roll:

Another bit of useless trivia this year is the first time in 17 years Easts haven't made the semis in any grade by all reports.
