Try thinking logically, not wishfully.

WATCH IT AGAIN.

He did come close, very freakin close, but not close enough. Barry Berrigan saw too it after he went for the second attempt, BB's arm was under the ball :|

It was a toughie for the video ref, but I can't say that he could have been certain that it was not a try. I think we were robbed. :(

Well Im on the fence realsitically, I know he didnt get it down in viewing, but I thought he MAY have got it down after. Im not to cut up by it anyway, Im just amused at how Vagana missed that opportuity, 9/10 you'd expect a try from that situation, 9.9/10 with someone of Vaganas skill in that position - good offload by Leulawai at least!

The decision, right or wrong on Vagana changed the game, Lockyer said as much in the paper today, saying if it was allowed and they got to 18-0 down it was all over.

The TATE call was a disgrace, Great chase again by simmons and great tackle, spilled by tate and then mellor penalised for the flop. Where was the touchy ?

I don't think he got it down.

I also think that Hutch knocked it on playing the ball before Vags even got near scoring it.

haha Well spotted PJ. Hutch has a poor technique in that area.

I dont think Wayne Bennett agreed with Lockyers comments.

he went out there with a game plan to match the Sharks arm wrestle tactic & to run outside the compresseddefense from their own goal line.
he also he was up against a shocking possesion flow in th first half on the back of 6 straight penalties to the Sharks.

I didnt agree with the Broncos game plan as they were having a field day out wide & didnt utilise it enough.
Bennet knew they would win the game at the back end of the match.
Well coached & prepared.

I didn't see the ball touch the ground. The benefit of the doubt thing is interesting though.

y is evryone on about benefit of the doubt?

there was none - only somethin in the eyes of shark intersted people.

if the vid ref had dout it would of been refs call. stagg clearly had his hand unda the bal

I don't think it was that cut and dried. It may have touched the ground. Can't say for sure. That's why there is doubt.

Should have scored the try & taken it away from the video refs hands.
it was a great tackle by stag & deserved it reward.

Meh im changing my mind now vagana didnt score. we played ok for some parts still this is our only off game of the season so far take away the eagles (for injuries). But wow its heart breaking losing late when sharks are winning all the match.

In your opinion and obviously in the opinion of the Video Ref. Which is the only opinion that mattered. I thought there was some but it don't matter no more.

f**king hell Reefy, there is a difference between looking at things objectively and arguing the anti-all things shark , praise the opposition before daring praise any of our OWN players stance, at every given opportunity!!!

You are one deadset peculiar shark fan ! I'm glad your mate doesn't let YOU write the press releases !

" sharks are playing next home game V the eels, should be good but we are missing a shit load of tackles and are lucky to be where we are on the table at present, our players f**ked up heaps V the broncs , but some of the broncos no names were f**king superb....ah, sorry, I digress, anyway, then coach will make some crap choices about when to inject our bench into the game and our 3 three quarter line, well, what can I say , just forget about those clowns, they're f**ked ! but other than that, I'm a huge fan and love the bastards to death, go the blue balck and white and get down to watch em next home game ! yeah !!!"

WHY!!!!
He was bloody well held up.
Nige should have dived.
He farged up.
Get over it.

Look, Imasharkie, I was at the ground. I saw the replay. I think Vagana got the ball down. Chris Ward was the one who farged up. Craig Hamilton the ABC commentator couldn't believe the no try decision. He thought it was a 80/20 chance in favor of Vagana scoring. I can't see how he could possibly believe Vagana was DEFINATELY held up. At worst a refs call.

I disagree with you, Iamsharkie, so get over it.

Nige should have dovened. End of Story. Great play by Stagg to force the issue to the judges.

in regards to beekers post, I agree totally.

According to Stuey, he spoke to Nige after the game and he said he got the ball down.

Not sure why he didn't protest if that was the case

he may of got the ball down
but really he was a fool not to just dive on the ground. he didnt deserve the try on that note
the defender did very well so his efforts didnt go un rewarded. it was a fair call in my opinion.

come on then bleek dot time for another crack-up

what i saw from a distant corner to me it looked like nige was held up. i thought he should have done better with the grounding but it was ( 8-[ ) a brilliant piece of defense from stagg

i think the penalty from that scrum win against the feed was for gallen unlocking the scrum before the ball was clear ? not sure and haven't seen any replay but that was my thoughts at the game.

didn't agree with the ball stripping penalty. but we shot ourselves in the foot with our own mistakes, not simpkins'
