by the way

this is the 3rd post shark where you hark back to morpheus post

sort of suspicious

I really couldn't GAF who made the statement Millers.

I am harking back to the claim made, not the person who made it. I just think that we bought this guy while he was carrying a serious shoulder problem that is clearly preventing him from playing his best footy.

Earlier in the year I thought such a suggestion was crap. Now I am not so sure. What's with the conspiracy theories?

if the poor, almost-retired Vagana has a bad shoulder, he should rest it

unless the sharks medical staff are telling him its fine until october, then more surgery

or maybe the 330K is actually based on match payments

He hasn't looked comfortable with the shoulder all season. I'm no doctor though and maybe I am using the shoulder excuse to explain his poor form.

Lets assume that his shoulder isn't right. I know he was our big name and money signing and everyone was keen to get him on the field, but wouldn't it have been better to give him time to get the shoulder 100% (or as close to it as was possible) before he returned. It would be good if was poised to make a return now at 100% - maybe that would have given us a boost for the run into the semis.

Vagana's shoulder is obviously not right, you only have to watch him play. He never lifts his arm above the horizontal. That could be the injury itself or the shoulder/thigh brace he wears to protect it

He had more strapping on yesterday than is contained in the whole Sutherland hospital!

Perhaps playing injured is how he is justifying his wage. Yes he's making blues out there but he's also a seasoned Intl who's presence alone is a big thing to our rookie backs.

He could just as easily not play and still collect the cash but he's doing the best he can under duress. Sure that may not be good enough but I bet if the players were asked if they wanted him out there it'd be a definite yes response.

I agree with what you are saying - he is on big money and keen to get out there and do the best for the team. I also agree that his presence helps our other younger backs.

I was trying to make the point that had he been rested up until now, its possible that the team would be in similar position and be getting a real boost with a player of Vaganas quality returning at 100% (Pure speculation on how we would be going without him I know!!)

Regardless, lets hope we see the best of him over the next two months.

A valid point Isurus, sorry if it looked like I was fobbing it off.

It's gonna get like that Millers!

Every new LU member that is even remotely interested in the Sharks will be on the suspect list for a while, methinks.

I must concur with you in this instance though, I don't think these two newbies are the F-Man.

It's simple, Isurus.

Nigel Vagana has (IMO) a crook shoulder and we're having a debate about his recent efforts and his injury status.

Ignore the other 'red herring' posts. Just a few of us regulars being silly.
