Fullbacks catch the bomb
That’s their job.

That drop was hopeless.
Didn’t even give himself the chance of cleaning it up should he of dropped it.
Dumb play.

Especially with the game in the balance.

If he stands & catches, he has a split second to go sideways & make some metres, which he’s capable of.

Butchered it badly trying to be a hero.
Dugan would’ve caught it ... but we would’ve lost because of it.

Not defending the drop, but even Slater dropped a ball at the death last night. So Holmes isn’t the only one. I’m just happy with how far he’s come since round 1.

Bit harsh. I know it could have been costly, but fortunately it wasn't. The rest of his game I thought was pretty good. He wasn't tested defensively, but he did everything else asked of him. I don't have the stats but he seems to be consistently breaking the line also.

Well yeah...he dropped a bomb

A bad play but a regular one for fullbacks

If you put expectations of perfection on a player that you don’t apply to everyone else he will always come up short

Nonsense, if it was a regular play for fullbacks, they would not last as fullbacks.

He drops them more regularly than most, but it is a part of the game he can work on.

Slater, touted as the best fullback ever, also dropped a bomb last night

It is quite regular to those of us who watch other games

If there is a fullback that never drops bombs we should sign him

Then he can get one fish and a loaf of bread and feed the shire

Of course every fullback drops bombs but it was the circumstances at the time.

He went for the Hail Mary catch & f**ked it up.

I’m not so sure there would be so many defending him if the Warriors try wasn’t denied.

Also, he lets lots of bombs bounce.

Bottom line, whilst he’s improving at fullback, he’s a far better winger.
