That's a similar story I've read across different sports in different countries. And in almost every case, the coach that went to so much effort, turned out to be a top class coach who had incredible success. I'm convinced we have a really good coach in charge and within the next year or two we will be a regular finals team, and then who knows. Would be nice to finish in the 8 this year but I won't hang him out to dry if we don't, we've made significant progress under this guy.
If I’d been told 10 wins at the start of the year, I’d have said f**k YEAH!

A team takes time. With materials he’s inherited, he’s done a shit hot job.

It’s year one. I can’t believe people get so upset week to week or expect him to walk on water.

Im so excited to finally have a capable, common sense, hard arse in charge.

Watch this space…..

Holmes is a good pick up. A great tried and tested replacement for Lomax and with Flanagan in charge, I expect to see him revitalised and playing some good footy next year.

To be honest, I always thought Flanagan would be a great choice as coach and the way he has our juniors playing as well as the older contingent, just proves he knows his job. We have a wealth of talent under the surface. These players like cook and Holmes will be just what the team needs to develop and nurture these young guys and giving us great signs for the future.

Noticed Sloan moved into First receiver several times last week , (when Hunt had no success with the running the attack sideways bullshit ) and looked very sharp and his passing and positioning were crisp ..Flanno mite have a thought to move him into the front line in attack in 25...Is a natural footy player. Can play any backline spot
Maybe Sloan to 6 in reserve grade.

I needed that - a bit of a wake up

Both Cook and Val announcements have not thrilled me but.... as you say!

Perhaps I'm also clouded by my disappointment with 4 weeks for Kyle.
I reckon there was enough extenuating circumstances for guilty with 1 or 2 weeks.

I'm also a little pissed that WT signed Skelton. Whenever he gets an opportunity in top grade he makes more than 150 meters. Tigers probably got him on 250K. (Just guessing)

That's a value signing and if it was us, would have been a big "UP YOURS GUS"
We have some young talent coming through. These signings will help stable the ship and prepare the way for our young folk.
