It wouldn't be Ronnie making the call if players should get surgery etc we have doctors and physios. Trainers are responsible for getting the boys fit and strong, they aren't making medical decisions like that. Any rehab or recovery problems are not Ronnie either, again that's the physios.

In that case the whole S & C team deserves praise. Seems like a no brainer to have the surgery now rather then have poor performance and risk 6 weeks out later. Now he can comeback to an average Roosters and Newcastle should get him up to speed pretty quickly and right to go for the rest of the season

Sounds like the club has decided that the time to get surgeries like this done is when we have a surplus of available players for the position.

Unless Gus is fibbing of course. Perish the thought.

Dont see any value in lying about it, we have more than enough depth to cover DWZ and Mansour, and another back if need be.

I once sent hadley an email many years ago saying tim smith who was in debut year and was about rnd 8 rolled ankle at training and is out for season.
He went live and broke it saying my inside information you heard it here first. Then had Dennis fitgerald on radio who said we didnt even train yesterday you twit it was raining.

It was a gee up from my mate and i thought id send it to Ray and well yeah your heard it first. So who is his inside information? A couple of boguns having a few lunchtime wines?

Gus has said on twitter 3-4 weeks expected to be back by round 3 - 4 that is good enough for me.

I had the same injury many years ago and it was no big deal. They simply shave the damaged part and move on. Trust me having sustained the same injury it is no big deal.
