Victorian State of Origin Players

Having a Victoria SOO team doesnt generate nearly as much hype as it is with NSW and QLD so from a commercial perspective, its not workable.

When there are so many Victorian players in the NRL that it becomes an issue then lets look at it, as for now id say thats 20 years away at the very least.

Don't mess with Origin. The idea about having a VIC v WA origin series would be much better, but is obviously still a long way off. Perhaps we could look at having a VIC v WA under 20's game as a curtain raiser to origin in the meantime.

Having a Victoria SOO team doesnt generate nearly as much hype as it is with NSW and QLD so from a commercial perspective, its not workable.

If it was a state VRL v WARL team it would cost next to nothing. Would generate SOME media (any media is a good thing in WA and Vic!) and would boost the two leagues by offering players a real incentive to play the game. It also sends a message that RL exists at grass roots level in non heartland areas.

Low cost, lots of positives, get it done NRL/ARL!
