Without any decent halves you are going to have a mighy hard time making it to the GF.Macca cant tackle, and iosnt a 80 minute player IMHO.He is getting targeted in defense and isnt up to standard. He may set up a try,but he lets two in.

Campese doent look like he is up to it either. He is solid, but I havent seen any spark from him either. The centres are solid, but again no spark.

Im afraid the BORING tag is fitting quite well atm for the Raiders, and I dont see any respite. You are lucky you have some killer forwards in Wiki,Davico,OHara and co,or you blokes would be getting flogged, and Monaghan, who I rate as the best defensive winger in the comp, that bloke save you a couple of tries every game.As well as scoring them to boot.

But GF,well I know its only early, but the Raiders have done quite enough to suggest to me they will be no wqhere near it in October. ;-) ;-)

We know you still haven't forgotten 1989, but time to get some perspective.

The Raiders game plans are this way BECAUSE we have a killer forward pack.... ie the coach is playing to the strengths. They may be boring but they have at least won 2 out of 3, which is more than we can say for some teams.

I do agree that if we are to make a real challenge on the GF, the backline needs some fixing. Their defence is extremely good (eg Mogg, Monaghan, Evans) but the attack needs some spark. Let's see if Graham can give it when he comes back, and McLinden and Campese build up some combination. McLinden also plays better in combination with Woolford rather than Drew at dummy half.
