He is getting worse and apart from being gifted a try, he was woeful, absolutely woeful.

I hope he is not there next week but with Dugan likely to be out, I'm worried Furner won't drop him.

I doubt dugan will be out, but it's too early to say. If he is then milne will come in.

first player I would drop is picker. The guy offers NOTHING.
slow, average defender and does nothing with the ball.

Vidot made some mistakes but he also did well hitting the ball up when we needed a back to do it.

Our backline was a shambles once Dugan went off.

I wouldnt be dropping Vidot , I wasnt impressed with Picker and with Fensom coming back for next week , we dont need him.

Picker came up with a great tackle late in the game. Vidot is trying to look flashy by going up for the bombs but he is not even close to catching one.

He's a neville!

No way does he deserve to be dropped. A couple of miscommunications today but he is super strong coming out of our half. He isnt given much opportunity to show off the rest of his game.

Umm, catching the ball is pretty much the most important part of a wingers game and he is not even close to getting near one. I'd give Low a crack and Vidot a spell.

I'd bring back Carney for Vidot we have depth use it! and yeah Fensom for Picker who has been sh*t for 12 months!

Vidot was terrible today. What I don’t get, is we can end a set with a structured play in the first 90 seconds, with decoys in motion and score a try. It doesn’t happen for the rest of the game. Did we get one repeat set from a last tackle kick into the in-goal today? Its just poor play to get caught with the ball on the 5th tackle in the middle of the field. I think we were lucky the Gold Coast came up empty with all that possession they got in the first quarter,

Vidot was terrible and has been terrible all season when under pressure.

That botched catch where he pushed Dugan off the ball - how stupid do you have to be to push one of the best players in the world under the high ball off of it? - was absolutely unforgivable.

Justin Carney or Drury Low should come in for him. Or Milne, if he's not already back wearing the #1 next week.

However, Furner being Furner I wouldn't be suprised to see Kelly back if he does make a change.

Picker was actually pretty solid. One fumble but powerful defence. However if Fensom is back maybe he should go. I would definitely be axing Troy Thompson before him though!

An aside - how bloody good were both Joel Thompson and Trevor Thurling?

Actually, what am I saying?

Mogg should be the one who comes in to play wing.

Or a crazy idea - McCrone. I think he's more suited to the outside backs than the halves. Sharp footwork and pace off the mark.

But really, Mogg.

I was going to post something similar, not as bad but still...

He is a good attacker, good runner... But he is so bad at catching high balls he has to go... At least until he can learn to speak and catch... He doesn't have enough points and metres in him to make up for the points and metres he gives away...

If Dugan is fine, pull Milne out there (oh and Carney on the bench)... If Dugan is injured, put Milne at fullback and Carney out there...

Fensom in for Picker, again I wouldn't say he has been bad, just he isn't as good as Fensom's earlier form (before he was injured).

why do they persist with t thompson.. at least didnt drop the ball i guess but offers less than nothing.. would rather picker and is not saying alot.. he made a few tackles but that was it. J Thompson was pretty quiet i thought today but everything done was quality.. monohagn played pretty well too.. but nothing flash.. Other than those two misakes by thurling early on he was man of match imo.. campese needs to shut up... and as for vidot he was solid enuff except for the miscommunication with dugan..

What about his miscommunication with Harrison? Granted Harrison should have known better than to let it go, just put a foot in touch and you don't even NEED to catch it FFS...

I thought Monahgan was the only reason we still won tonight... He was at least showing the team the way forward when a lot of others were just shell shocked... Campese did that as well with his tackles out of dummy half near the end there too.

His confidence under the high ball is certainly low at the moment and his communication today was poor.

That said, I'm not sure dropping him is the best thing for his development. He was a gun last year, and once his confidence is up he'll be there abouts again.

I agree with this , Id be more worried that dropping would do him more damage especially when where he is failing can be rectified with some intense training in that area

He should be playing centre anyway. He wouldn't have to catch too many bombs playing there.

Vidot's a centre and Joel Thompson's a 2nd rower. Put them in their natural positions and see how they go ffs.

I still say put Milne or Carney out there... I guess we could have vidot on the bench as a backup back and if he goes on with-out a back being injured move J.Thompson into the forwards...

Agreed that they are playing out of position but Joel is going way too well in the centres to change that... Maybe put Monaghan out there instead?
