Mt Smart was booked for a concert, Harry Styles I think? Just shitty timing really.

I have no idea if Eden Park or North Harbour Stadium were considered (or even available). Feels like going to Wellington would be better than Eden Park though!

Absolutely, Wellington is better than Eden Park or North Harbour.

We want that first Auckland game at Mt Smart.

Ill take the 2 points any day

BUT

I saw some worrying signs. SJ was mostly terrible and scared. I dont think the mix is right with the forwards either. AFB has to play more minutes.

Watching thursdays game was like seeing 1st play 2nd
Watching the Warriors Knights game was like seeing 15th play 16th
Knights were horrible we were a bit better than horrible

My mother made a good point during a particularly bad time in the game. 'It's like watching old men, compare it to last night's game (Eels v Storm), they were so fast'.

Which pretty much mirrors your comment, it was like watching slow-motion. We snapped out of it, in parts, which got us two ladder points, but I was saying all along last night that we must win this one, but we almost didn't!

When did your SJ love die? Mine went last year. He no longer made me angry, or happy, I was just indifferent. Which meant it was well and truly over.

2018 Finals against Panthers. We had front row seats and we were up 12-2 or something like that after 20 and Panthers clawed their way back. We were yelling out in support of him to "Control the Game" and "Now its your time" and "its all yours Shaun"

His reponce????

All he did was pass it to Blake Green

Maloney on the other team was in everything competing on every play. He even had a dig at SJ in the post match interview.

Then 2 months later SJ up and left the club

I was there too. Yep, we raced out to 12-2, in finals footy. Big, vocal Warriors support, more Penrith of course, but we're still there.

Now, here's the moment. SJ has a break and bolts for the line, Waqa Blake chases, and catches! Not only is SJ stopped but he's ragdolled!!

We never saw him again.

"competing on every play" that reminds me of the Warriors under Daniel Anderson when they made the grand final , they dove on every loose ball and competed for everything that season. Only one game in but if a bit of CNK rubs off on the rest of the team we will do better than expected

Walsh used to score a few and was brilliant on attack but used to bleed a lot of points as well to the point of falling down seemingly feigning cramp on a missed tackle last year right at the end of a game at least once
