Post match conference Cappy is talking changes, to many soft points, guys not putting body on the line and no trust.
It's a team game but plenty of individuals not putting in.
Lisone only positive and responded to his halftime spray.
Time for talk is over, time for changes.

So who is out?

Halftime sprays are generally for coaches who have no f**king idea, and didn't do their job well enough during the week. Or when used very occasionally. Not every week. Halftime sprays...embarrassing.

Who is out?

I'd have Lolo or Hingaro in the halves, Leuluai may be able to tackle but f**k me he is a plodder on attack. He's been worse than Robson. There's no point discussing dropping Shaun, he absolutely sucks at the moment but it's not happening. Either put Fus back to No.1, move Lolo or bring in Hingaro. And the way SJ is playing as soft as a pillow, it's too much to expect to bring Hingaro in now. Let him debut under a decent coach, if we ever get around to appointing one. And not in a side as shit as this one.

Luke back to the bench or even further. God it makes me angry watching him piss on about his love for Taranaki, the haka stuff etc then playing piss poorly with his pot belly hanging out. He got named to start purely on where the game was played, even though Tevaga had been in way better form. Then he went out and did FA.

But hey, we can rearrange the deckchairs on the Titanic as much as we want. It means shit.

First Warriors game I haven't watched live since 2002 (when I moved back home to NZ) so can't comment on the performance. When I saw the team-list on Tuesday I was disappointed. When I saw the lineup pre-game I said nope I'm not watching this again.

McFadden needs to leave and a few players should be following him. His selections stink.

Konnie goes from All-Stars at start of season to reserves for the Warriors? And he was looking in the best condition he ever has for a pre-season game. Maybe Konnie and McFadden are just trying to see who outlasts who :D What exactly has he done to McFudds? Did he f&%k his wife or something?
If I were him I would wait out my contract because a new coach might be able to get the best out of him. Don't want to see yet another bloke with massive potential go killing it elsewhere. And yeah I know it's "potential"

He spoke about Ali getting a run early in the season and that never happened.

He continues to pick J. Wright. I heard he made a whopping 6m in the first half last night:(

He made Hoffman captain?

He picked Allwood (a former Raider just like our coach) saying his selection was based on form and his form was better than Konnie? Cut out the bull-shit McFlop!

He puts Tui in the halves and he looks the goods until RTS was injured and he moved to fullback (can't fault that one). BUT........ Then Tui gets injured and Fusitua played awesome at fullback and was man of the match. So what do we do when Tui is fit? Yeah we move our man of the match fullback to wing, put Tui to fullback and Thomas "WTF" Leuluai in the halves when Jeff Robson just played his best Warriors game in the halves too?????? Someone please explain WTF McDudds is doing to our team.

Now against the Raiders he says there were at least six guys out there that didn't put their bodies on the line. So who comes in for the Broncos game and who does he drop?

Should he really stay for the season or leave now? I know what I think.

Seems unlikely Cleary will come back but he would have been my first choice.

Maybe Toovey? He could show SJ some old tapes of how he played the game. He didn't care how big his opposition were he just bashed the crap out of them as much as he could. No fear unlike our half. As a former half who actually kicked ass (not like McPlodding) he might be able to get in SJ's head and getting him playing his best footy again.

Never thought I'd say this because I'm not a huge fan but maybe even Brian Smith? He would no doubt wipe out half the squad and bring through new players. His methods much like Daniel Anderson's don't last more than a season or two before players revolt but it would give the club the chance for a real cleanout of dead weight. Our team should be competitive every game. And a realistic chance of making the finals every year.

I don't think Stacey is a good choice... for now. The club needs real change to stop the rot or we will continue to be mediocre. Stacey could come in on the back of say a two year contract for Brian Smith. That's about as long as you'd want him there.

We need a couple of real hard heads in our team. I'm glad we got RTS but Luke has been a total disappointment (so far). We need an Adam Blair or Beau Scott type of player that plays with desperation and wants to win every contest and every game too.

Ah shit, why is Teamlist Tuesday two weeks away? I wanna know now!!! :D

Every one of those senior players that this thread is whining about could walk out of the Warriors today join another team and they'll have the season of their life. The Warriors are a graveyard for talent because talent arrives and they're at an amateur club with a coach not up to it and a CEO with a rep he's not bringing to the table.

What you said!!!! Right on the mark

At this point I'd be open to dropping Thomas and giving SJ the week off to have a break and trying Robson at 6 and Tui at 7 ,the seasons pretty much gone now so they wouldn't do any worse than what we have, would they?
We've tried just about every other combo with Johnson maybe it time to see how combos with Tui would go?

Absolutely.

Having said that, it is up to the likes of Matulino, Luke, Thompson etc to provide real leadership. So say f**k this, I'm going to be part of the solution not the problem. But they can't be f**ked. If they got their heads together and said right, we're going to bar up here, the younger guys would follow. But they won't. They'll sulk until they get a new club or a superstar coach. The latter isn't going to happen.

Justin Morgan is on Newstalk ZB after 1pm apparently talking about last night and about some players getting axed for the next game ,I doubt we'll learn too much but I'm going to listen to it anyway.

Not a fan of axing too many and exposing newbies to the Broncos the way things are tbh. Now that I've said it they'll probably end up doing in and win out of the Broncos being underpar rather than us being any good. Ali, Lane, Vete all need to come in I think, along with Manu & Kata returning.

Luke is one I'd send down, with TL moving into the hooking rotation (he's just not an NRL half). Bodene too. The others? Allwood, Wright, whoever else. I just kind of don't care right now.

Sunday footy show ripping in as usual bout the pathetic Warriors.
Had some footage of Jazz running from play the ball, signalling guys in, Matulino, Johnson and Thompson all plodding, no energy, so Jazz took the tackle. Summed it up for Freddy.

:sarcasm:

The Leuluai "highlights" reel was hilarious too.

Mostly receives from DH, stop, stall, look, shovel it on. Yesterday he actually went to a complete stand still a couple of times, service from Luke wasn't great but it was adequate. No kicking game, doesn't run, can't put anyone in space... I mean it's just staggering we keep picking him.

What was the news?

He basically covered his arse. Waxed on how well they trained and prepared and said some players lacked commitment. The only 2 who stood up were Mannering and Hoffman! Give me a break. They both got beaten trying to play drift inside the ten instead of man on or up and in. If that?s what he is teaching them as the defensive coach, then expect more of the same.
Last week at halftime he spoke that we were going to run our way out! The defensive coach and we are going to attack into the wind. He should have said we are backing our defence. I emptied my TAB account on Penrith after that gem.

A wise move Pa Kid. Phillip Smith- he didn't say much really plenty of words with nothing we didn't already know and less substance than a leaf of lettuce, not mentioning names on air but we'll talk to them behind closed doors. expect wholesale changes for the next match blah blah blah. A bit like listening to a politition being interviewed words come out but you don't get any real answers.

Really good to see the so many posts from you guys wanting to see Tuimoala Lolohea in the halves. The GLIMPSE that we got against the Bulldogs of him in the halves which SPARKED a blinder for him in our best win for the year so far, was unfairly rewarded by keeping him at fullback.

I say unfair cos he makes it no secret in his interviews that he wants to play in the halves. He earnt that right to play there against the Bulldogs also it wouldve freed up the fullback spot for the likes of Fusitua. Tuis had a years experience in the NRL now and THAT is the difference from Tui the half 2015 to Tui the half 2016 in that he'll be more comfortable now. Last year he had the pressure on him and it doubled when SJ got injured.

We all know we have a problem with our halves so let's look at that..
We've seen..
-Robson and SJ: Robsons too old for the NRL and we struggled
-Leuluai and SJ: Leuluai good defence but similar to Robson in attack only Leuluai in the past has made the odd line break
-Lolohea and SJ: We saw some of our best sets and we won! then Cappy decides our best halves pairing of 20mins should be split up WTF?
Cappy thinks the Warriors needs halves that played like him and so we have that in Robson and Leuluai and I think that's why he doesn't choose Tui.

Fusitua we all know he should be at fullback. The more Fusitua plays there the better our attack gets. Fusitua could be one of the best fullbacks if we allow him to grow into that position instead of having a half c**k blocking his rightful position.

What I saw last night.

Tui not bad in FB. Tommy added nothing aside from shovelling the ball to Johnson who seemed to be bereft of ideas. Neither Jazz or Isaac's dummy half service was up to standard. Alwood is a winger at best. Johnson runs one direction and consequently only has one set move; the ball to a moderately hard running Bodene. The first set we had in the game, the first forward to take a hitup was on tackle three or four.
Bodene's butchered try was criminal, how the hell can a professional stuff that up with no one near him.

$500 on tickets flights and accomodation for that? Guttered!

Yeah Tuis not a bad fullback but we have a GREAT fullback in Fusitua and we have a PROBLEM in the halves and that's mainly why we lose. We wanna win man lol.

Whoa easy there mate, great fullback? Fus had *one* outstanding game. Last year he was shocking at times at the back.

Potential sure, but our entire team has pockets of excellence and not enough season long performers.

Yeah well it's my opinion and I think others see him as THE fullback for our team. Just look at other posters 17, there's a few who got him at fullback.

You mentioned one game and seasoned long performers, having given one game at fullback might be the reason. Players need to grow, stupid to think because he was shocking there last year he's shocking forever. It's 2016, needs more games in that position.

Never said he shouldn't be at fullback, I'd put him there myself.

But he's light years away from being a "great", he has lots to prove.
