Don't think we are mentally tough enough TBH , after watching today our boys just seem to take all the shit , sick of seeing Mannering shaking his head behind the goal posts , where's the leadership ??

Obviously cappys Half time spray was worth it , they came out worst in the 2nd half.

Honestly though , after Elliot where did everyone think we would finish this year ?? , maybe a full preseason and recruiting some more Aussies next year might be the year the warriors live up to their potential , or not...

Most of the team fall into a bunch of clear categories:

Those of genuine ability and quality:
Johnson, Lillyman, Mannering, Manu, Hurrell

Those who aren't amazing but try their guts out to be good 60-80% of the time:
Tomkins, Friend, Townsend, Laumape, Ikahihifo, Henry

Those who are trying but aren't good enough / injured / other issues:
Leuluai, Rapira, Bukuya, Nielson

Finally a bunch of guys who show up when things are good and otherwise passengers:
Martel, Fusitua, Matagi, Matulino (recently)

The problem is the lack of guys in the top bracket, and the number we carry in the rest

Johnson should be with Matulino imo, nearly changed my mind this year, but he and Matulino should be in the top category, and aren't imo

I didn't think Matulino was that bad today. He didn't get a ton of metres, but he did have some good offloads, nice tackles, and no errors that I can remember. I'd say he was one of the few who turned up today.

This actually worried me. You know things aren't right when big Manu ain't trying hard.

Anyway, some of you guys are talking asif Leuluai wasn't there we would have won. Sure he hasn't been that great and could probably take a back seat atm but he was brilliant last season and just needs to get a good pre-season under him next year and come back stronger.
