So we have a great clash up against our old rivals the Sea Eagles at good ol' Bluetongue.

With Greg Inglis hopeful to return, as well as young Dylan Walker, can we finally get the two points and catch up to the Roosters?

I think we can, us by 2.

I fear the decision to relocate matches might finally bite us in the backside in this one.

I'm hearing Lurgess will make his FG return along with GI and Walker.

Inglis return may be offset by exit for Burgess
BY:BRENT READ From: The Australian August 12, 2013 12:08AM

Injured fullback Greg Inglis is set to return - but South Sydney may now lose another player. Picture: Gregg Porteous Source: TheAustralian
GREG Inglis' likely return from injury for South Sydney's game against Manly could be offset by the loss of Sam Burgess as the English prop comes under the scrutiny of the match review committee for an incident involving Melbourne centre Will Chambers last Friday night.

The committee is likely to review footage of the incident in the 68th minute of the game at AAMI Park, in which Burgess appears to place his hands between the legs of Chambers.

Chambers writhes on the ground in agony afterwards before receiving treatment from one of the Storm's trainers. The incident was posted on social media amid suggestions Burgess had performed a "squirrel grip" on Chambers.

Burgess, who has history with the judiciary, could face a contrary conduct charge which would rule him out of Friday night's blockbuster against the Sea Eagles.

Souths can ill-afford to be without the front rower given they have lost three of their past four games and slipped from the top of the NRL ladder. The Rabbitohs will already be without the influential Sutton for the game against Manly, although Inglis could make his return from a knee injury.

Players place a hand between the legs all the time (A big reason why we see spear tackles). I haven't seen him do it before I would assume it was just an accident. If Chambers hasn't come out and said anything I don't think it'll be an issue.

Asotasi calls for discipline
Date
August 13, 2013

Michael Carayannis
Rugby League Writer

Veteran South Sydney prop Roy Asotasi doesn't mince words when describing the predicament they find themselves in following a 26-8 loss to Melbourne on Friday.

The Rabbitohs have lost three of their past four games and surrendered their grip on the minor premiership in the process.

''It is a tough period,'' Asotasi said. ''We're not going to make any excuses. Losing two on the trot isn't good. We're usually very good at bouncing back. We gave away too many penalties [against Melbourne]. Ill discipline was too high. You can't do that against Melbourne.''

Errors and ill discipline have crept into the Rabbitohs' performances, losing their past six penalty counts. Ending their form dip won't be easy as they face Manly, Canterbury, Wests Tigers and Sydney Roosters to round out the regular season. They start with the Sea Eagles in Gosford on Friday night.

''It is [daunting],'' Asotasi said of the run home. ''We can't ask for a better draw going into the finals to see where we are at. We will be working hard and taking a lot of positives out of Melbourne and focus on what we need to do next.

''The boys will be looking forward to the week.

''Manly are starting to come around at the right time. That's the experience of Manly and Melbourne. When it comes to the business end they start to pick up their game.''

Good. That solves the captaincy conundrum also.

I hope we still keep Keary on the bench.
